New to Grow
Welcome to Your Therapeutic Journey! My name is Trent, and I am pleased to assist you in addressing the behavioral health concerns you've brought to your journey with me today. As a Client-Centered and Solution-Focused therapist, my goal is to support you in defining and achieving your personal dreams and aspirations. To begin, I would like to introduce the "miracle question." This exercise will help us envision what your ideal life would look like if you were to wake up tomorrow with everything in place as you hope. Once we establish this vision, we can prioritize your goals and collaborate on developing strategies and coping mechanisms that align with your desired outcomes. It's important to recognize that your fulfillment is shaped by your efforts and the meaningful interactions that you've identified as significant. Once we've created a treatment plan based on your objectives, we will work through each goal step by step. Regular check-ins will allow us to assess your feelings about your progress and make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan, including the addition of new goals as they arise. Please keep in mind that the therapeutic process can sometimes feel challenging before it improves, so your feedback is crucial. It will enable me to adapt your treatment plan to ensure that your therapeutic goals are being effectively addressed. Should you wish to schedule your first session, I invite you to check my calendar for available slots and self-book at your convenience. I look forward to meeting with you soon. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out for support or with any questions or concerns you may have. I strive to respond to chat messages within 24 hours when possible. Congratulations on taking this significant step toward your therapeutic goals! Best regards, Trent
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Hi, I’m Trent, Thank you for scheduling your first session with me - I’m looking forward to meeting you! I’m really glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and it’s an important first step toward feeling better. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on in your life and start moving toward the changes you want to see. My approach is Client-Centered and Solution-Focused, which means we’ll work together to understand your goals and find practical ways to reach them. I like to start by asking the “miracle question”: If you woke up tomorrow and your life looked exactly how you wanted it Before we meet, please take a few minutes to complete your intake form and check-in survey. You’ll find the links in your appointment confirmation or reminder emails. These help me prepare so we can make the most of our time together. If you have any questions before the session, feel free to reach out. Otherwise, see you soon!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am empathic, client-centered, focused, and determined to help you to work towards the best life possible as defined by you.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults, primarily from the LGBTQIA+ community and also adults in general who are dealing with life transitions and issues with mental health that may be preventing them from living their ideal life as defined by the client.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach is Client-Centered and Solution-Focused, which means we’ll work together to understand your goals and find practical ways to reach them. I like to start by asking the “miracle question”: If you woke up tomorrow and your life looked exactly how you wanted it to, what would be different? That vision helps guide our work and keeps us focused on what truly matters to you.
