Hi! I’m Damitra Smith, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor based in Katy, Texas, and working with clients statewide through telehealth. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, codependency, and substance use. My approach is warm, direct, and down-to-earth. I want therapy to feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a safe, supportive space where you can show up as your whole self. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance Therapy, and other approaches, while also honoring cultural identity, lived experience, and even spiritual practices if that’s meaningful to you.
Hi—Hola. I’m Andrea, and I’m truly glad you’re here.
For more than nine years, I’ve walked alongside people as they navigate anxiety, childhood and adult trauma, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. As someone who has also lived through trauma, I understand how it can stay in the body and nervous system—appearing as overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or a persistent sense of never being “enough.” You do not have to move through this alone.
My style is trauma-informed, warm, and bilingual (English/Spanish), and I use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to your unique needs. I focus on childhood trauma and attachment wounds, and I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies as an essential part of healing. Together, we’ll explore your story through attachment-based approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, emotion regulation, mindfulness, inner-child work, and mind-body techniques. I also integrate coping skills and self-esteem building to support your overall well-being. If it aligns with you, we can incorporate spirituality and energy-based practices to deepen healing and self-trust.
My goal is to offer a steady, supportive space where you can set down what feels heavy, learn tools that truly work for you—like setting boundaries, cultivating a kinder inner voice, and creating healthier relationship patterns—and move toward lasting change at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience — and a woman who has navigated midlife, reinvention, and the seasons of life that quietly change you. That lived experience shapes every session I offer.
I specialize in working with women who are strong on the outside but exhausted on the inside — women navigating menopause, identity shifts, heartbreak, dating, and the complicated feeling of standing at a crossroads wondering who they are becoming.
I'm warm and direct. I'll hold space when you need to be heard and gently challenge you when you're ready to grow. Clients tell me they feel safe being real with me from the very first conversation — and that they leave sessions feeling clearer, lighter, and more like themselves.
My approach blends evidence-based therapy with mind-body practices rooted in mindfulness, breathwork, and somatic awareness — because healing lives in the body too, not just the mind.
If you've been carrying something alone for too long or simply know that something needs to shift — I'm here. Just come as you are.

I have had many unique and challenging life experiences that equip me to easily relate to a broad group of individuals. I may have walked in your shoes. I will strive to relate to you as though I have with empathy and compassion.

Hello! My name is Dee, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and a specialized Mental Health certification from Lamar University. I have over seven years of experience Couseling in school settings with students who have special needs, as well as over two years in private practice supporting individuals and families.
In my practice, I work with clients experiencing adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, and family challenges. I strive to create a compassionate, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
I’m a licensed therapist who works with individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, and life transitions. I understand how easy it is to feel stuck in your thoughts or stretched too thin trying to manage everything on your own.
My approach is supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel better in your day-to-day life—not just during sessions. I use a blend of practical, evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and solution-focused therapy to help you build coping skills, shift unhelpful patterns, and move toward meaningful change.
During our time together, my goal is to create a space where you can finally exhale. I take a warm, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental approach. We’ll not only explore what’s been weighing on you, but also focus on practical tools you can use in your daily life—whether that’s calming racing thoughts, setting boundaries, or feeling more in control of your emotions.
Nobody comes to therapy because they need someone to tell them to “think positive.” They come because they’re tired. Tired of anxiety calling the shots. Tired of repeating the same relationship patterns. Tired of carrying things they were never meant to carry alone.
Life is complicated enough. Understanding yourself shouldn’t be. My job is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and give you practical tools you can actually use long after our sessions end.
No two people are the same, so no two sessions are either. We focus on what you need most that day while never losing sight of where you’re trying to go. Some days we’ll process. Some days I’ll challenge you. Some days we’ll laugh because life has a weird sense of humor. Every session has one goal: helping you move forward.
If you’re looking for a therapist who’s engaged, honest, down-to-earth, and willing to have real conversations, I think you’ll feel right at home here.
Have you ever wanted a safe space to talk and explore, unfiltered and unafraid of what the other person is going to think? Are you in the lgbtq+ community or an ally looking for an affirming therapist who gets it? Looking for a therapist who is authentic and has an exploratory style? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, then keep reading because I might be a good match for you! I am licensed in Texas with a decade of professional counseling experience.
I like to create a safe space that helps clients get curious about the root cause of why they do what they do. I help clients find more than just band aid solutions. I believe in meeting people where they are at, so I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process!
