Hi! I'm Melissa, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from the University of Texas Pan-American and have been practicing for over 8 years now. I help adults and teens struggling with life changes, anxiety, self-harming, stressors and depression become the best versions of themselves. I believe strongly that therapy in itself can foster an individuals drive to life and goals by providing you the space to openly express and develop the mindset and skills to enhance your strengths and reach those goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Having worked with teens and young adults the past 9 years, I've developed the skills to (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a identify goals that leads to measurable progress.

I love working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate transitions in their academics, home environment, and family dynamics. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about where they are in life and the fear of letting others down.
