(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas and Florida. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University and have been practicing in the mental health field for over fourteen years. My experience encompasses working with clients from diverse life stages and backgrounds and assisting them in achieving their therapeutic goals and attaining mental well-being.
During our first session, I will take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy. We will explore historical information, current life circumstances, and your goals for therapy. I will discuss treatment plan options that you feel comfortable with as the most important aspect of therapy is your voice and being comfortable with the process.
My clinical practice was founded upon a profound passion for assisting individuals in navigating the intricate challenges of life and fostering their resilience. With extensive training and experience encompassing a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, I have dedicated my professional journey to creating a secure and supportive environment conducive to healing and personal growth. I firmly believe that every individual possesses the inherent capacity to overcome obstacles, and I am committed to guiding you on your unique path. Tailoring my approach to your specific needs, I empower you to discover your inherent strength and resilience.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults by helping them heal from trauma, improve their self-esteem, and learn to handle stressors that occur in life. Life presents a variety of challenges that can be difficult to navigate alone but I have found that through creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients to explore these challenges, they are able to create a life that is worth living.
Over the past fourteen years, I have consistently employed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within my professional practice. I have observed its remarkable efficacy in assisting clients in managing stressors and anxiety. CBT facilitates the identification of the intricate connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By recognizing these connections, clients gain access to thought patterns that can drive behavioral responses and develop more helpful thoughts to address situations.
In my practice, I often draw on attachment-based theory to understand how my clients’ early relationships continue to influence the way they connect with others today. I’ve found that exploring these patterns together helps clients make sense of their emotional responses and relational struggles. By creating a safe, consistent, and attuned therapeutic relationship, I aim to offer an experience of secure attachment that can support healing and new ways of relating.
In my work, I often integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills for managing intense emotions and improving their relationships. I’ve seen how powerful it can be when clients learn tools like mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance—and how these skills can create real change in daily life. I also value DBT’s balance of acceptance and change, which allows me to support clients with compassion while helping them move toward their goals.
