I am happy to share that my counseling experience has been from both sides of the screen - as both provider and client! We are all a work in process depending on what is taking place in the world around us. Most of my clients are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, communication issues, work stressors and/or life transitions. Together we can identify strategies to improve your quality of life and minimize negative symptoms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I always approach sessions from a place of relaxed professionalism! Our first session will be a get-to-know-you meeting where we begin to build rapport and I let you know what to expect in sessions together. I will have some basic questions for you as a starting point and encourage for you to ask questions you may have, especially if you have never participated in counseling before.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients express that I am warm, approachable, compassionate and nonjudgemental.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love helping clients from adolescence to adulthood navigate the stresses of our current world and the obstacles for them to live their best life! I enjoy meeting clients where they are each week with whatever has been happening between sessions. Sometimes we just need to process, identify new coping strategies and/or set goals to work towards. Wherever you are, I appreciate you bringing me in to help you get from where you are to where you want to be!

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I believe we are all the experts of our own journey and have within us all of the resources to carve our most successful path in life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Many times our symptoms or depression and anxiety are tied more to our thoughts about what is taking place rather than the event itself. CBT helps clients learn how to adjust their internal dialogue to minimize negative symptoms.
