Hi there! My name is Megan, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a proud native Texan. I graduated with a Master's in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in 2013, specializing in Community Counseling. Since then, I have dedicated over 10 years to working with adults, providing therapy to address a broad range of issues. These include chronic mental health conditions, substance use and abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, relationship issues, unhealthy relationship patterns, and intergenerational trauma.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate complex life challenges and work toward lasting change. I am particularly passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and have substantial experience advocating for and working with individuals in this population, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. My experience spans a variety of settings, including both community mental health environments and private practice. In these roles, I have had the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients as well as facilitate group therapy sessions, helping individuals connect with one another, share experiences, and build supportive relationships.
In my work, my primary goal is to help you resolve long-standing symptoms and underlying issues that may be hindering your ability to fully heal and thrive. I believe in a compassionate, holistic approach, integrating both therapeutic techniques and genuine empathy to address the whole person. My aim is to support you in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and finding peace so that you can move forward with confidence and a renewed sense of well-being. Together, we will explore the roots of your difficulties and develop effective strategies for healing and growth.
