I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with 25 years experience in elementary education including 8 years as a School Counselor. During my career I have had many hours of training in Trauma Informed Care and how the brain is affected by traumatic events. With a Bachelors in Science I also have a strong science background which helps in explaining the science behind the human mind and why we act and feel the way we do. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! Therapy is a journey and every journey begins with a single step!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will give us time to get to know each other. Therapy is a process and we will go through this journey together. Although there is paperwork involved before our first session, we will use this time to ask each other questions. If you are bringing a child, I will also get to know the family better so that we can all support the child.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having a Bachelors in Science with a strong science background helps in explaining the science behind the human mind.
