I am a native Texan who has lived and worked in the Houston area for most of my career. I have a background in mental health providing services to individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief any issues that cause distress. I have a passion for helping those that hurt and see change possible. My faith has informed and enriched my personal life and professional career. I have experience in helping clients with stress, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, coping with grief and loss, life transitions and pain management. As a bilingual Latina, I live and work in far west Texas. My professional path has led me through three major cities: Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso. Initially, my work focus was with children and teens within the criminal justice system and Child Protective Services. After moving across the state, I expanded my work to include autism spectrum disorders, asthma, and chronic illnesses in children by supporting parents and caregivers as a case manager and disease management educator. Later, I transitioned to providing psychotherapy with adults and children at a community behavioral health clinic in San Antonio. After a break to start and raise my family, I decided to return to psychotherapy. Assisting others in discovering hope amidst challenges and adversity is profoundly impactful. Observing change and growth in individuals over time brings me joy.

I'm passionate about having a judgment free counseling space where clients can feel safe and at ease to be open about who they are without feeling pressure to mask. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Albany and my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from C.W. Post Long Island University. I moved to Texas in 2012 and have continued to counsel and grow my practice.

I am honored to be able to assist others with challenges throughout life and I have been counseling clients for over 15 years. I have worked with trauma, and criminal justice issues as well as using play therapy. I am trauma focused and I believe trauma colors our behaviors and our future self. I use Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy to explore past trauma that is affecting your life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to change those thinking errors that are interfering with your judgment and behaviors. My clients will be served by me on a weekly basis through the convenience of telehealth. Together we will identify goals and objectives to meet so you can begin to improve your symptoms, your mental health, and your life. For Post Traumatic Stress Disorder I will work with you for 12 sessions with Cognitive Processing Theory . Most clients see progress in the first 4-5 sessions.

Hello! My name is Jessica Aleman, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving the wonderful people of Texas. I have over 10 years experience in direct practice. Right now, I am working part-time as a therapist in addition to my full time position. One of my favorite things to do is spend time at the beach with my husband and spending time with my dogs Piper and Leo. I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people in some capacity and during school settled into social work. Experiences I have had growing up with my family allowed wonderful mental health professionals to help various family members on different things, and I am happy to now be that person who can support others. I have a great deal of experience providing treatment for a number of different diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders (among others). I also have experience working with the LGBTQ+ community to provide support and connection to resources. I have worked in a variety of settings, from community mental health, school based counseling (K-12 and higher education), and private practice settings.
