As a licensed therapist in Texas, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating complex emotional landscapes. My practice centers on helping clients address depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and personal growth. I offer a compassionate, faith-informed approach that honors each person's unique journey and inner strength. Drawing from evidence-based practices and a Christian perspective, I create a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, develop meaningful coping strategies, and rediscover their sense of purpose. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build resilience, cultivate self-love, and move toward holistic wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

At our first session, we will begin by gathering background information, addressing any office matters, and then getting to know one another. I want your first session to be a good experience. I want you to have time to express your thoughts and concerns in every session. I am judgment-free and offer a safe space to discuss difficult issues in all sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clinical experience includes the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and support for the Military and Veterans. I have extensive experience working with children, both as a psychotherapist and a Speech-Language Pathologist. I have over 35 years of experience working with children and adults with disabilities and exceptionalities of all ages. Becoming a therapist was shaped by 35 years of advocating for my exceptional adult son. I understand the emotional weight of long-term illness. Life experience has taught me that there are difficult things that are sometimes unimaginable, but there is help, and it can get better. It's a privilege to walk alongside you through life's challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My therapeutic work focuses on empowering individuals struggling with social anxiety, trauma recovery, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. I'm particularly dedicated to supporting women, men, veterans, and caregivers through transformative healing processes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive methods teach you to challenge negative or irrational thoughts, eventually reducing their power over you. Techniques like cognitive restructuring can help you understand your thought patterns, the emotion behind them, and the actual reality of the situation. A therapist can help present a more realistic perspective to help reduce cognitive distortions.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method is fundamentally about learning new skills, changing behaviors, and applying research-backed techniques to your interactions. That’s powerful. But it also means it’s operating primarily at the level of the prefrontal cortex, the thinking brain.

Schema Therapy

Unproductive schemas may have a powerful effect on your life, triggering depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns. Schema therapy is designed to help you challenge these schemas and improve your mental and emotional well-being.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed therapy is not about a specific intervention but rather tailoring interventions in the context of the individual’s trauma history, triggers, and specific needs. It is a lens through which the therapist views their clients, taking into account the impact of trauma on emotions, regulation, and behavior. They will also consider the effects of intergenerational trauma on clients.
