Hello, my name is Ashley Warren, and I am a licensed Professional Counselor with certification as a National Counselor. I obtained my degree from Louisiana State University and have gathered a wealth of experience working with adolescents and adults over the course of several years. My primary focus is on providing support to individuals as they navigate through challenging life phases, grapple with identity issues, address low self-esteem, and cope with trauma. Additionally, I specialize in helping individuals struggling with family conflicts, offering a safe and supportive environment for them to explore and address their concerns. My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and evidence-based techniques to ensure that my clients receive the highest quality of care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will have a conversation where I will introduce myself and explain my approach to therapy and the therapeutic process. We will take the time to explore your background and life journey thoroughly. I welcome any questions you may have during this session, as it can help to build trust and rapport between us.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I derive strength from my ability to remain patient and provide support to people who require it. As a therapist, I believe that my strengths lie in my capacity to listen intently, understand the unique perspective of each individual, and empathize with them. Rather than relying solely on interventions or therapeutic tools, I prioritize building a strong connection with my clients.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

We must work together towards achieving a complete harmony where physical, mental, and emotional health are in sync. Using a humanistic approach, we will thoroughly review all aspects of your wellness. A holistic approach to your health will be vital to achieving this goal. Please let me know how I can assist you in your journey towards optimal wellness.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT incorporates interpersonal effectiveness, in which you will learn to communicate assertively, maintain self-respect, and strengthen relationships. One of the core principles is learning to ask directly for what you want to reduce resentment and hurt feelings.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Cognitive behavioral techniques can help modify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. This therapy challenges negative thoughts and feelings and reorganizes thinking for better mental health.
