LCSW, 9 years of experience
Hello, I'm Stephanie, a dedicated bilingual therapist serving the Texas area. I assist children and adults in navigating various life transitions. 💛 Your Mental Well-being Matters 💛 Life can present unexpected challenges, and it is completely understandable to feel overwhelmed at times. I offer a safe and supportive environment for you to share your feelings and explore your goals. 💬 Let's Start the Conversation 💬 No matter where you are in your mental health journey, remember that you don't have to go through it alone. Feel free to reach out, and let's start a conversation about how we can work together to bring positivity and support into your life once again.
At our initial session, you can anticipate a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable discussing your presenting issues or challenges. My overall goal is to foster a space where you feel heard, understood, and optimistic about the changes you wish to make in your life. By attending sessions regularly and actively practicing coping skills outside of our meetings, you can expect to observe positive progress and improvements.
One of my core strengths is supporting clients in identifying effective coping strategies for their stressors. I approach each client from their current perspective and draw upon many years of experience working with diverse populations. I hold a 300-hour yoga certification, which enables me to guide clients through mindfulness practices. Additionally, I have pursued further training and am dedicated to assisting adults and teenagers dealing with anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship conflicts, and grief.
I am a compassionate and open-minded professional committed to supporting clients who are receptive to self-reflection and personal development. I also encourage work outside of sessions to facilitate progress toward your goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapeutic approach for treating a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, phobias and other stress disorders. I help my patients understand that their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that changing negative patterns of thinking and behavior can lead to improvements in emotional well-being. I help my patient identify negative patterns, learn coping skills, set peronsal goals, and monitor patterns of thinking.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy teaches individuals to cultivate present-moment awareness by paying attention to their thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment without judgment. This involves practicing mindfulness meditation techniques, such as focused breathing, body scan, and mindful movement, to anchor attention to the present moment. Through regular practice and commitment, my patients can cultivate a deeper sense of peace, balance, and fulfillment in their lives.
As a 300-hour HR-certified yoga instructor, I adopt a holistic approach to support my clients through mindfulness, meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, and somatic therapy. I help my patients strengthen the connection between mental and physical well-being, promote self-awareness, reduce stress, and enhance overall health.

Great to get back into therapy with Stephanie and continue for my anxiety and overthinking.
