Hello, I’m Linda Llanos. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to support your growth and healing. I look forward to working together to help you reach your goals. I create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I work with clients from all walks of life, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those facing complex life situations, and I tailor our work together to help you reach your goals at your own pace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we begin getting to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll also ask some background questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and strengths. This helps me get a full picture of how to best support you. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care can be tailored to your needs. You can expect a collaborative approach where your voice matters. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring over 10 years of experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allowing me to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard and empowered. I work with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and those facing complex life circumstances, tailoring strategies to meet each client’s unique goals and needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am in a well-established position to serve individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and those within the LGBTQ+ community through both my clinical experience and the populations I have consistently worked with throughout my career. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have supported clients navigating complex emotional and environmental stressors, allowing me to develop a nuanced understanding of how these challenges intersect.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns that contribute to emotional distress. I guide clients in developing healthier, more adaptive thought processes, which in turn support improved emotional regulation and decision-making.
