New to Grow
As a first-generation Latina therapist, I chose this field because I know how meaningful it can be to have someone show up for you when you’re navigating the challenges of growing, finding yourself, and caring for your mental health. I want to be the kind of support I once needed—someone who listens without judgment, creates space for honesty, and meets you where you are. My approach is authentic, empathetic, and focused on helping you create meaningful change while still honoring your unique experiences and background. I’m naturally laid-back and validating, but I’m also a challenger when I see an opportunity to help you grow, reflect, or step outside of what may be holding you back. No matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, you deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you work toward becoming the version of yourself you want to be.
My approach as a therapist is centered on creating a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, be heard, and have room to reflect and navigate your thoughts and emotions without judgment. I believe in meeting you where you are while also gently challenging you to grow, work through the trials that may have been weighing you down, and take steps toward the life you want for yourself. Therapy can be difficult, and meaningful change takes effort, so I encourage my clients to come ready to put in the work while knowing they don’t have to do it perfectly. My goal is to walk alongside you with empathy and honesty, helping you recognize your strengths while supporting you through the uncomfortable parts of growth.
My ideal clients are those who are willing to show up for themselves, even on the days when they don’t feel like they have the strength to do so. I value working with individuals who are curious, open to new perspectives, and willing to explore what may help them grow and create meaningful change. You don’t have to have everything figured out or even know where to begin; if you have a sense of what you’d like to work on, I’m here to work alongside you to identify your goals and find a path forward. I also recognize that we all come from different backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life, and that each person’s journey will look different. My goal is to be a source of support that honors and respects those differences while providing honesty, encouragement, and validation. I believe meaningful progress requires effort, and I want to support you in putting in that work while recognizing that growth will look different for everyone.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical approach that helps us explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or keeping you feeling stuck, while working on healthier and more helpful ways of thinking and responding. CBT is collaborative and goal-oriented, so we’ll focus on skills you can practice both in and outside of therapy to support meaningful, lasting change.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a collaborative approach that helps you explore what motivates you and what may be getting in the way of making changes. Rather than telling you what you “should” do, we’ll work together to identify your own reasons, values, and goals for change. My role is to support you without judgment, help you build confidence in your ability to make changes, and meet you wherever you are in your process.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) focuses on where you want to go rather than only focusing on the problems that brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, resources, and past experiences that can help you move toward your goals. We’ll focus on small, realistic steps that can create meaningful change while recognizing that you already have strengths and abilities that can support you along the way.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on helping you better understand and manage your emotions, cope with difficult situations, and build healthier relationships. Together, we’ll work on practical skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. My goal is to help you feel more in control of your responses while learning to accept where you are and build toward where you want to be.
