New to Grow
I am a man of God, family man and someone who is always here to help. I served 10 years active-duty Army and when leaving the service, I pursued a college education earning my degrees to help individuals who want help. I will help anyone regardless of ability to pay as long as it is ethical and said individual wants help. Life can be a struggle and we all need help sometimes, I have been called unhinged and I do use humor when appropriate as asking for help can be uncomfortable and I will do anything possible to help ease these feelings/thoughts. The power of Jesus and his word is unimaginable so expect this along with evidenced based practices.
Our first session will involve both of us interviewing each other to see if we are a good fit for each other. Confidentiality and boundaries will be discussed as well as my treatment modalities and your goals wanted from therapy. Taking the therapy step is not something to take lightly so it is imperative that we both see each other as a good fit and that we both are comfortable and ready to begin this journey together. Treatment is not always easy although it is backed by evidence so our ability to set attainable goals will be our primary goal when first meeting up.
I am here to serve my clients needs. I will always be available to walk down the path in front of us and take on any challenge presented. I value my clients and their needs will always be at the top of my list when serving clients. I am available nearly anytime outside of regular business hours and am here to serve.
Here to help clients find their way through an ever-increasing challenging world. A strong believer in Jesus Christ my evidence-based practice is Christ led and uses Jesus and his gifts. I am a combat Veteran and am familiar with the challenges faced in this area of life, as well as the benefits. I have always enjoyed working with substance use, adolescents and familial challenges.
Other specialties
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Starting my career with substance use disorders with adolescents I have used CBT ever since. Helping others change the way they think about thinking is of primary importance.
Christian Counseling
Expect Jesus to be a part of every session. I am not pushy with this although I will ask for prayer in each session as I am Christ led. If the Bible is something welcomed, then this will also be a part of our time together.
