Hi, I’m Destinee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Florida, dedicated to helping you navigate life’s challenges with honesty, warmth, and a little bit of humor when needed. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not like yourself, I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where we can unpack what’s holding you back and work toward real, lasting change.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect a warm, relaxed, and welcoming space to share your concerns and goals. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, your background, and any specific challenges you’re facing that you would like to address. I will also answer any questions you have. The first session is about building comfort and clarity so that you feel supported and confident in our journey together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I blend evidence-based techniques with a down-to-earth and compassionate approach. I will always meet you where you are in your journey. My background in working with diverse populations has strengthened my ability to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs. I have a genuine passion for cultivating an environment to facilitate healing. I ensure clients leave each session with tools they can apply in daily life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with individuals who are healing from trauma, navigating relationship challenges, managing anxiety or depression, and striving for a healthier sense of self. If you’re feeling drained, second-guessing yourself, or struggling to set boundaries, you’re not alone. Together, we can develop strategies to help you overcome those challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this method to help individuals identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, and self-doubt. In our sessions, we work on recognizing unhelpful thoughts, challenging them with evidence, and replacing them with more balanced perspectives.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this method to help individuals explore their own reasons for change in a supportive, non-judgmental space. Through open-ended questions and collaborative goal setting, I guide individuals in identifying their strengths and motivations.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate this to help individuals develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations by using techniques such as deep breathing, grounding exercises, and guided meditation. This helps to manage anxiety, reduce stress, improve self-esteem while encouraging self-care and emotional regulation.
