We will laugh! We will discover! We will create a plan for change! Let’s try to get through this challenging time in your life, together! I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. I can't wait to embark on this journey of healing discovery with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, I focus on creating a comfortable and welcoming space where clients feel safe to share their concerns. I start by introducing myself, explaining my therapeutic approach, and discussing confidentiality and session expectations. We then explore what brought the client to therapy, their current challenges, and any relevant personal, family, or cultural background. I also assess their emotional well-being, coping strategies, and goals for therapy. This session is about building rapport, gathering important information, and collaboratively setting the foundation for future work. My goal is for clients to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about their therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What makes me unique as a therapist is my authentic, down-to-earth approach that blends professionalism with humor, honesty, and real-life application. I don’t just give textbook answers—I keep it real, using relatable examples and practical strategies that actually make sense in everyday life. I incorporate Reality Therapy, helping clients focus on what they can control and take actionable steps toward change. My humor helps break down walls, making therapy feel less intimidating and more like a real conversation. Clients appreciate that I meet them where they are, offering support that is both compassionate and refreshingly honest...and sometimes funny!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Your dream client is likely someone who is open to self-exploration and committed to personal growth, whether in mental health, relationships, or faith-based healing. They value a holistic approach to therapy, appreciating both evidence-based techniques and the integration of cultural or spiritual elements when relevant. Your ideal client is willing to engage in the therapeutic process, apply learned strategies, and work toward meaningful change. They may be individuals, couples, or families seeking support in navigating life transitions, emotional struggles, or relational challenges while desiring a therapist who provides both professional expertise and deep empathy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into sessions by helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that impact their emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore how thoughts influence feelings and actions, and I provide practical tools to reframe unhelpful thinking. Through structured exercises, coping strategies, and real-life applications, clients learn to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier perspectives. My goal is to empower clients with skills they can use beyond our sessions to navigate challenges more effectively.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into sessions by helping clients develop psychological flexibility—learning to accept difficult emotions rather than avoiding them. We work on identifying personal values and taking meaningful actions aligned with those values, even in the presence of discomfort. Through mindfulness techniques, cognitive defusion, and experiential exercises, clients learn to observe their thoughts without becoming entangled in them. My goal is to support clients in living a fulfilling life by embracing their emotions while making intentional choices that reflect what truly matters to them.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In culturally sensitive therapy, I create a supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued in their unique cultural identities. I acknowledge the impact of cultural background, traditions, and societal influences on mental health and personal experiences. By integrating culturally relevant perspectives and tailoring interventions to align with clients’ values, I help them navigate challenges in a way that respects their lived experiences. My goal is to foster empowerment, healing, and growth while honoring each client’s cultural heritage and worldview.

Faith based therapy

In faith-based therapy, I integrate spiritual beliefs with evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support clients in their emotional and spiritual well-being. I help clients explore how their faith can provide strength, hope, and guidance in overcoming challenges. Using prayer, scripture, and faith-centered discussions (as desired by the client), I create a space where spiritual values and mental health work together. My goal is to help clients find healing, clarity, and purpose while deepening their connection to their faith.

Family Therapy

In family therapy, I work with families to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address conflicts in a supportive and structured environment. I help family members understand each other’s perspectives, develop healthier interaction patterns, and build emotional connections. Using evidence-based approaches, I guide families in identifying and breaking unhelpful cycles while fostering mutual respect and problem-solving skills. My goal is to create a space where families can heal, grow, and support one another in a way that promotes long-term harmony and resilience.
