I am a Contract Therapist for Grow Therapy who works with individuals and couples from middle childhood to adulthood to improve their lives by reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression through developing skills to manage and cope with life’s challenges. I originally was a group counselor turned individual and family therapist that knows what truly drives the counseling experience is how well you and I connect. My goal is to support and encouragingly communicate my understanding of your challenges while unveiling your hidden strengths so that you can once again believe in yourself. When I’m not working, you’ll find me listening to music on the beach, playing RPGs, strategy and action fighting games with my family and friends, or relaxing with my latest Netflix binge
On your 1st session you will complete your intake and communicate all symptoms and experiences to identify what is holding you back or hurting you from the life you want and us beginning to identify solutions and strategies to beginning that process.
Life is a journey. Sometimes we encounter things that are out of our control and may feel as if no one else understands. I trust in the human ability to grow even when faced with obstacles. During times of personal questioning or struggle, I rely on the counseling process to elicit the best forms of self-reflexivity in order to prosper. I believe answers to our problems reside within us. Feelings that result from experiences in life are unique to each person, and they each deserve a partner to work through their difficulties. I have strived to create a warm and supportive environment that will foster your growth. I focus on a mixture of solution focused and Cognitive behavioral questions and homework to drive your growth.
I help patients identify and explore the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors contributing to their struggles with the goal of reduced symptoms and distress and improved coping and overall functioning in work, school, and relationships. The goal of treatment is to improve communication and manage stressors with your loved ones and other people in your life by developing different perspectives and listening skills to hear their side while ensuring they can hear you.
