During the first session, we will work through the nervous feelings together. We will get to know one another in a space that feels welcoming. I will give you a chance to explain your story with as many details that you are comfortable with giving. If you are having a difficult time speaking about yourself, I will ask questions to help you open up. Don't worry, this will not feel like I am prying or grilling you. Most often when my clients are nervous about talking about their difficulties, they say that within a few minutes, their nervousness goes away with my easy approach to counseling.
