What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

For some people starting therapy can feel a bit scary; while others are ready to dive right in and share everything right away. We will start wherever you are at, and you will set the pace that you feel comfortable with. You and I will work together to set treatment goals and develop practical strategies and solutions that help you to feel better in your daily life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have participated in many CBT trainings and have been using this treatment method successfully with countless clients over the past 9 years. Clients find it very empowering to realize that by changing their thoughts, that they can change how they feel and how they behave!

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

After being trained in mindfulness, I began practicing this method personally in my life in addition to using the method in treating clients. This method helps to free people from the anxiety related to replaying the past in your mind and anxiety that comes from worrying about the future. This method also provides symptom relief from depression and trauma as well.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation provides you with knowledge about various facets of your mental health and how to treat it. By working together to learn about and understand your specific mental health issues, you become more successful in reaching your mental health goals and feeling better in your life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma Focused CBT is an evidence based treatment for PTSD and trauma in both children and adults. This treatment reduces or eliminates the difficult symptoms of trauma that you are struggling with allowing you to feel better in your daily life.
