New clients continue care with this provider

Hello! I’m Jess. Do you feel like life is passing you by while you watch from the sidelines? Is it hard to find peace, meaning, and balance? Are you surviving instead of thriving? I assist young people and adults in overcoming the cycles of anxiety and depression. We will explore your strengths and patterns to increase self-understanding and identify effective interventions. I love combining reflective listening and skill building to empower you in overcoming struggles. It takes courage and self-awareness to seek positive change and I'm here to support you in achieving your treatment goals! I look forward to working with you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Attending your first therapy appointment can be nerve-wracking! Inviting a stranger into your personal business is an uncomfortable endeavor. There is a reason you scheduled your first appointment- you probably have a lot on your mind and you're coming to your first session with a story to tell. My primary objective for initial sessions is to give you space to share about whatever brought you to therapy. We'll have some administrative boxes to check for insurance purposes, but I try to unpack those things over time so you're able to leave your first session with a sense of catharsis and connection. I'm here to be curious, listen, ask questions, and find out what you're wanting from the therapeutic process.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Although I'm very easy to talk to (picture a smiley face emoji here) I believe that relying on Evidence Based Practices as the foundation to therapeutic work is key to making therapy effective. My approach combines CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and DBT. I'm a firm believer in "healthy body, healthy mind" and seek to incorporate movement, nutrition, and values congruent living into my approach.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am an easy-going, down to Earth person and will meet you where you are. I also have a decent sense of humor (if I may say so myself). I think the mark of effective therapy is to have a space where you feel comfortable discussing anything and everything. I'm not here to give advice, but rather to help you explore decisions and tolerate whatever consequences come as a result. I got your back.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have worked with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship and communication issues, disordered eating, personality disorders, and substance misuse (Individuals age 18+).
