I was drawn to this work because I know the impact that support from others can have. At different points in my life, I have benefited from people who helped me face challenges, understand myself more clearly, and move through difficult seasons with more honesty and direction. Those experiences taught me how powerful it can be to have someone help you feel less alone while also encouraging growth, accountability, and change. That shaped my desire to offer the same kind of support to others.

I'm a therapist with a PsyD and an LPC license. I work with teens and adults in need of true listening and clear-headed guidance through the overwhelm. Maybe things have been piling on for a while, or something recently tipped the balance, but whatever’s going on, you don’t have to navigate it on your own. I’m engaged, attuned, and honest. Together, we sort through it, find some steadiness, and move toward solutions and solace. We make small, manageable shifts so you can feel more like yourself again. And if you’re not even sure who that is yet, we’ll start there.

I believe meaningful growth happens through relationships with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of our work together. My goal is to create a safe, steady, and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences, understand your patterns, and build greater trust in yourself. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and strength-based. I integrate talk therapy, art therapy, and creative expression to support emotional awareness, healing, and personal growth. Together, we may explore attachment patterns, relationship dynamics, boundaries, self-esteem, identity, family relationships, and the experiences that have shaped who you are today.

I chose this line of work to provide others with the skills they need for walking their life path with their heads held high and love in their hearts. At some point we are all given difficult, transformative opportunities. I would be grateful to assist in honoring life's painful experiences and integrating them as they transform you into something greater. As a yoga teacher, therapist, and spiritual seeker who specializes in working with women I use healing modalities that shift the mind, body, and soul. My care will provide a safe space to cultivate an understanding of the symptoms present and how they fit into your life story. I will introduce tools to initially help you alleviate and integrate symptoms, but I hope they're more than that. My goal is for you to gain lifelong skills that leave you feeling empowered when faced with life's twists and turns. Healing is a difficult but beautiful, eye opening journey. I find stimulating the mind, giving the body a voice, and listening to the soul to be the three most important components of healing. My sessions incorporate techniques for relaxing and relating to the body, talk therapy for stimulating the mind, and practices for getting in touch with the soul.

I have been practicing psychotherapy and counseling since 1983. My practice focuses on using my training and experience to help people get out of the rut where they are stuck. In particular, I engage with people in ways that unlocks their greatest strengths and use those abilities to find relief. Most of us are unaware of how capable we are because we repeat what we know instead of learning something new. You'll find your meetings with me refreshing! Hi! I am a LPC with fourteen years of experience in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal struggles, and poor self-esteem. I specialize in using CBT based therapies. I also have a lot of experience treating trauma with EMDR and narrative-based methods. I believe that trauma plays a big role in the lives of people. Trauma comes in many forms and levels of impact. If we are able to process trauma and find healing, we can experience growth, wisdom, and strength of character. If not processed and healed, trauma can become a source of depression, isolation, anxiety and loss of identity. Secondary to the trauma treatment is focus on coping, communication, connections, identity building, and problem solving. We will work to build a better sense of power and control in your life, which is the core of emotional and psychological well-being.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience in crisis response, clinical assessment, and trauma-informed care. I work primarily with adults and adolescents (12+) navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I believe therapy should help people become more confident in understanding themselves and responding to life's challenges. My goal isn't to provide all the answers, but to help clients leave with the perspective and a different way of navigating challenges. Before entering outpatient practice, I spent many years working in crisis services and involuntary treatment settings. That experience reinforced something I continue to believe deeply: people are often capable of far more change than they realize. Everyone has the capacity to get better and make positive changes. I especially enjoy working with people who are curious, reflective, and invested in their own growth. Many of my clients are professionals, entrepreneurs, healthcare workers, first responders, and others balancing demanding lives while striving to live with greater purpose and intention. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I also understand firsthand both the strengths and challenges that can come with ADHD, and I enjoy helping clients build systems that work with their brains rather than against them.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Doctor of Natural and Bioenergetic Medicine, I have dedicated my career to understanding the profound dialogue between the mind and the body. In my years of clinical practice, I began to see a recurring pattern: traditional psychotherapy is powerful, but it often reaches a ceiling when the body’s "biological battery" is depleted. I realized that to truly help my clients heal from the inside out, I needed to bridge the gap between psychological processing and the body’s subtle energy systems. My approach is built on the premise that your life experiences—your joys, traumas, and daily stressors—do not just live in your memory; they live in your cells and your energetic field. By integrating my clinical LPC background with my doctoral training in bioenergetic medicine, I offer a unique, 360-degree therapeutic experience. We don't just talk about the obstacles in your life; we work to shift the underlying energetic and physiological patterns that keep those obstacles in place. Whether you are navigating the heavy fog of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the complexities of unresolved trauma, my practice is informed by a deep understanding of human bioenergetics. This allows us to look beyond surface-level symptoms to explore how your environment, your lifestyle, and your body’s unique energy pathways are impacting your emotional resilience. My mission is to guide you toward "Integrated Health"—a state where your mind is clear, your nervous system is regulated, and your spirit is fully aligned.

My counseling style is empathic and conversational, grounded in respect, sensitivity, and compassion. We'll incorporate your experiences, feelings, and values into a meaningful life story. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, narrative, and evidence-based strategies while allowing space for rediscovery, growth, and repair. I specialize in depression, self-esteem, substance use and misuse, men's mental health, and relationship issues. Relationships are often the most important things in our lives, and all treatment holds this at its core. When we pursue change, we strengthen our relationships and become better partners, parents and friends. I strive to meet the client where they're at and tailor the approach based on their needs. My style is empathic and supportive. We will figure out where and how you'd like to make changes, uncover the patterns that have kept you stuck, and do the rewarding work of letting go of the things that aren't working for you anymore.

Hi, I'm Shelly — a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping people find their footing when life feels overwhelming. My journey in mental health began decades ago in music therapy, working in psychiatric settings where I first witnessed the remarkable capacity people have to heal when given the right support and a safe space. That foundation shapes the way I work to this day — with attunement, creativity, and a deep belief in each person's capacity to heal. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, trauma, and addiction recovery, using evidence-based approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build real, lasting skills rather than just temporary relief. I have a particular heart for neurodivergent individuals — including those with ADHD and autism — who may have spent years feeling misunderstood. You do fit — sometimes it just takes the right space to discover that. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Good therapy isn't just about insight — it's about leaving each session with something you can actually use. I'll meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels right, and work hard to make sure our time together is meaningful. For clients who desire it, I welcome the integration of faith and spirituality into our work. I believe healing touches the whole person — mind, heart, and spirit — and that for many people, faith isn't separate from their healing but central to it. I hold that with care and without pressure. Whether you're navigating a specific struggle or carrying a weight you've held for too long, you don't have to do it alone. Reaching out is the hardest step — and I'm really glad you're here. I'd love the opportunity to connect.

There are times in life when our ability to cope is no longer sufficient to get us through a difficult passage or challenge. This can leave us feeling anxious, depressed or lost. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addictions Counselor in the state of Colorado. I received my Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in 2017. After completing my Master’s Degree, I spent almost six years working with criminal justice involved clients - from substance abuse to domestic violence offenders. While I learned a lot doing that work, and it was extremely fulfilling to service victims and offenders, I decided to pursue working for myself within the private practice setting. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral techniques in my sessions, as well as being trained in Brainspotting for trauma specific treatment. I strongly believe in the connection between physical health and mental health, and do my best to focus on both aspects with the clients I see. You can understand exactly why you keep doing something and still feel completely stuck in it. With 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with adults who are tired of repeating patterns that no longer work for them. My style is active, relational, practical, and conversational. We look beyond what happened to what keeps happening—what activates the pattern, what keeps it going, and where we can actually interrupt it. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, serious illness, major life transitions, and burnout from carrying too much for too long. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming of diverse identities, sexualities, and non-traditional relationship structures. I’m genuinely open-minded about how people build relationships and live their lives. You’re unlikely to shock me, and vanilla is certainly not a requirement for admission. You don’t have to clean yourself up for therapy. Bring the contradictions, questionable decisions, weird relationship dynamics, dark humor, 47 tabs of self-help information, and the thing you’re pretty sure will make me judge you. I probably won’t. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment-based work, somatic and nervous-system awareness, mindfulness, behavioral strategies, and psychoeducation. I’m endlessly curious about what makes people tick, and I translate therapy concepts into normal language. I’m warm and supportive, but I’m not a therapist who just nods and agrees with everything you say. I’ll believe you about your experience while sometimes lovingly questioning the story your brain has built around it. I’ll notice patterns, contradictions, play devil’s advocate, and help turn insight into something useful outside the therapy room. We’ll probably laugh in therapy, sometimes about things that objectively aren’t funny. Humans are weird. Therapeutic fit matters enormously to me, and I have no ego about being the right therapist for everyone.

My goal is to help people understand the underlying beliefs and assumptions that often shape their reactions, conflicts, and life decisions. When these patterns become clearer, people are better able to make healthier and more meaningful choices for their lives. As an immigrant myself, I understand the unique cultural challenges that many people experience while living between different cultures and value systems. The process of navigating identity, expectations, and belonging can often create confusion, inner conflict, and emotional stress. In my work, I help clients sort through these experiences so they can develop a clearer sense of identity, regain confidence in their values, and learn how to engage with different cultures without losing their own sense of self. My counseling approach focuses on identifying distorted thinking patterns and emotional triggers that may keep people stuck in cycles of confusion, self-doubt, or relational conflict. By helping clients recognize these patterns, I support them in expanding their psychological perspective and developing practical ways to respond more thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. For clients who value faith, I also offer Christian counseling that integrates biblical wisdom, prayer, and personal faith reflection with sound psychological insight. My goal is to help people experience healing, restore their sense of dignity and purpose, and move toward a more grounded and meaningful life.

I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating emotional challenges, life transitions, stress, or changes that have affected their overall well-being. This may include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, self-identity, career transitions, chronic or medical conditions, and other significant life experiences. As a retired Naval veteran, I bring personal insight into military culture, service-related experiences, and the unique challenges that may accompany transitions to civilian life. My experience spans both medical and mental health settings, including supporting military-affiliated individuals and people living with chronic illness. I strive to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can better understand themselves, strengthen coping skills, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.

I specialize in grief and loss, maternal mental health, faith-based counseling, and spiritual or existential exploration. I also have additional training in helping women who are navigating postpartum anxiety, trauma, and the emotional weight that can come with motherhood. We’ll gently explore the pressures that are keeping you stuck, so you can begin to feel more grounded and yourself again. My approach is warm, discerning, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing often requires care that honors the complexity of what you are carrying. As a former school counselor, I also understand the difficulties families face. Whether you are moving through loss, adjusting to motherhood, wrestling with faith, or trying to find your footing in a season of uncertainty, you do not have to navigate it without support. If you are looking for a space that is thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply attuned to your experience, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I’m a trauma therapist and addictions counselor; this is where my heart is. I have the unique ability to see beneath the stains in a person. I can help you heal as far as you’re willing to go. I am a therapist for everyone else. I have a laid-back style. I can treat most mental health needs. I have two master's degrees, post-grad endorsements, but more importantly, I have lived experience. I enjoy working with people who are navigating the heavy weight of past experiences, persistent self-doubt, or the feeling of being constantly on edge. If you often find yourself stuck in overthinking or out-running that inner critic, or just trying to keep your head above water, I’m here to help. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and entirely free of judgment. I don’t view myself as an expert diagnosing you from across the room; rather, I am a teammate walking beside you. We will go at your exact pace, focusing heavily on how your body and mind are responding to stress, while building a toolbox that actually fits your life.

She also completed a post-master’s certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Kristine’s professional passion lies in working with adults, particularly older adults. You're exhausted, wondering if anyone is going to reach your teenage son with ADHD. I was that kid and found my way through. Your son is struggling the same way I did. ADHD, too much homework, too little interest, too many people telling him to just try harder. I didn't get real support until the end of high school. Treatment changed the trajectory of my life. I went from community college to the University of Florida, then to a Master of Social Work from Florida State. My bachelor's was in Education Sciences with a specialization in Educational Psychology, which means I understand how ADHD plays out in a classroom, where so much of your son's pain probably lives. School is hard enough for these kids already, which is why I see clients in the evenings and on weekends. Therapy shouldn't add to what school is already taking from him.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Depression, is filtering therapists in Colorado that work with patients with similar concerns.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
