I was drawn to this work because I know the impact that support from others can have. At different points in my life, I have benefited from people who helped me face challenges, understand myself more clearly, and move through difficult seasons with more honesty and direction. Those experiences taught me how powerful it can be to have someone help you feel less alone while also encouraging growth, accountability, and change. That shaped my desire to offer the same kind of support to others.

I am Grant Marylander, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Grief Counselor, and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional practicing in Boulder, Colorado. My path to this work was not a straight one. I spent more than thirty years as an attorney before a close friend's terminal diagnosis changed everything. Sitting with him at the end of his life, I knew this was where I belonged — not in a courtroom, but in the hardest and most human moments people face. That conviction led me through palliative care, hospice grief counseling, and community mental health before I founded Share Your Grief. I work with two groups of people who, in my experience, often have more in common than they might expect. The first are individuals navigating grief, not only the loss of a loved one, but any loss that has quietly unmade a life: a diagnosis, a divorce, a career, an identity. The second are high-functioning professionals whose outward success masks an internal exhaustion driven by anxiety, perfectionism, and the relentless pressure to be more and do better. What I offer both groups is the same thing: a space where nothing they feel is too much, and a clinically grounded approach that goes beyond surface-level coping to address what is actually underneath. The impact I hope to have is not simply symptom relief. It is transformation — helping clients move from surviving their pain to understanding it, and from understanding it to carrying it with greater ease, self-compassion, and clarity about what they value most. Grief and anxiety have a way of stripping life down to what matters. My job is to help you find your footing in that stripped-down place — and rebuild from there.

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I have a passion for supporting all people through the many unique journeys and roads of life. I view therapy as a space where we both bring expertise and respect to our work. I approach getting to know a client from a strength-based and trauma informed lens. This means I will always see the good in you, even if it may feel hard to see within yourself. I am here to provide a listening ear, a new perspective, and see if things could be better. I am not here to judge your past, rather, reflect on how you were (and are) doing the best you can at any given time. We all have struggles, and I work to connect with you on a human level. While I do not make light of dark experiences, I often use humor and sarcasm to help us connect. Sometimes we laugh so we don’t cry; either or neither is okay in our work. Your goals, hopes, worries, and safety are my priorities, with you always consenting to what we discuss and do in session. I also use my experience with my own chronic illness, neurodiversity, and trauma to help clients feel less alone in their struggles.

I chose this line of work to provide others with the skills they need for walking their life path with their heads held high and love in their hearts. At some point we are all given difficult, transformative opportunities. I would be grateful to assist in honoring life's painful experiences and integrating them as they transform you into something greater. As a yoga teacher, therapist, and spiritual seeker who specializes in working with women I use healing modalities that shift the mind, body, and soul. My care will provide a safe space to cultivate an understanding of the symptoms present and how they fit into your life story. I will introduce tools to initially help you alleviate and integrate symptoms, but I hope they're more than that. My goal is for you to gain lifelong skills that leave you feeling empowered when faced with life's twists and turns. Healing is a difficult but beautiful, eye opening journey. I find stimulating the mind, giving the body a voice, and listening to the soul to be the three most important components of healing. My sessions incorporate techniques for relaxing and relating to the body, talk therapy for stimulating the mind, and practices for getting in touch with the soul.

My background in public schools and private practice has allowed me to support clients across many stages of life and experiences. I use a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to your individual needs. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard and empowered to make changes at your own pace. In addition, I have a passion for those with chronic pain. Chronic pain can be debilitating. It can keep you from reaching your goals, enjoying the things you love, and from the things that you need. Through Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), there can be a way to get your life back. As someone who has also suffered from chronic pain, I know the struggle is real. The pain is real! If you are reading this, you are not ready to give up. It is ok to be skeptical, I get it because I have been there. Call, email, or schedule your first session and take the road towards recovery. All sessions are conducted remotely, allowing you to participate from the comfort and privacy of your own space. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process, then work together to create a plan that feels realistic and encouraging. If you’re ready to begin I’d be glad to connect with you.

My professional career as a worker peaked in 2022 and I decided I would benefit more by being self-employed instead, as about 10% of US workers currently are. I worked at a variety of inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and mental health units for many years. Working for myself has allowed me to work with clients with less restrictions from management, and I often keep a small caseload because that's my preference. It has also given me time to continue to research and publish work on the subject of working and mental health. I've operated my private practice since 2017 and went full time in 2023.

You don't have to carry it all alone. What often feels like chronic stress, anxiety, or overwhelm is your nervous system signaling that you've been carrying too much for too long. I help women heal from trauma, calm their nervous systems, and feel more like themselves again. Hi! I’m Leah Swanson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 10 years of experience in mental health across women's health clinics, schools, and private practice. As a woman, I deeply understand many of the challenges women face, including emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, perfectionism, self-criticism, divorce and breakups, and career burnout. Many women are hard on themselves, overgive, overthink, and quietly wonder if they are enough. My goal is to help women develop a supportive inner voice, build healthier relationships, and create meaningful careers through nervous system regulation, evidence-based positive psychology, and somatic mind-body therapy.

Stepping into counseling is a second career for me. Before this work, I spent many years as an accountant, but I found myself wanting deeper, more meaningful connection with people. That desire to sit with others in their real, human experiences is what led me to become a counselor. I’ve personally navigated many of the same challenges that bring people into therapy. This doesn’t make me an expert in anyone else’s life—it simply means I understand, on a human level, how vulnerable it can feel to open up, and how much courage it takes to work toward change. I believe change is a gradual process, and each person moves at the pace and in the way that fits them best. My role is to offer empathy, support, and a space where your experiences are met with respect and understanding.

I’m Dr. Eunice Joo, a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps individuals and couples gain deeper clarity about their thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns. My goal is to help people understand the underlying beliefs and assumptions that often shape their reactions, conflicts, and life decisions. When these patterns become clearer, people are better able to make healthier and more meaningful choices for their lives. As an immigrant myself, I understand the unique cultural challenges that many people experience while living between different cultures and value systems. The process of navigating identity, expectations, and belonging can often create confusion, inner conflict, and emotional stress. In my work, I help clients sort through these experiences so they can develop a clearer sense of identity, regain confidence in their values, and learn how to engage with different cultures without losing their own sense of self. My counseling approach focuses on identifying distorted thinking patterns and emotional triggers that may keep people stuck in cycles of confusion, self-doubt, or relational conflict. By helping clients recognize these patterns, I support them in expanding their psychological perspective and developing practical ways to respond more thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. For clients who value faith, I also offer Christian counseling that integrates biblical wisdom, prayer, and personal faith reflection with sound psychological insight. My goal is to help people experience healing, restore their sense of dignity and purpose, and move toward a more grounded and meaningful life.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a San Francisco native, a military veteran, and a lifelong art lover who finally found the courage to answer my truest calling during the whirlwind of 2020. I haven’t looked back since. I am deeply passionate about bridging the gaps in mental health care and destigmatizing therapy—because taking care of your mind should be as normal as taking care of your body. When I’m not in the therapist chair, my life is beautifully full. I’m a homeschooling mom to six incredible girls (yes, six!), married to my childhood sweetheart, and a big fan of making meals from scratch and catching a double feature at the drive-in movie theater. My Approach I bring that same blend of heart, dedication, and real-world chaos into my practice. I take a direct, down-to-earth approach, and I love working with people who are truly ready to show up, connect, and do the work. My space is for teens and adults navigating messy transitions, trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Whether you are running on fumes or struggling with a loud inner critic, my goal is to provide a warm, judgment-free space where you can drop the mask, laugh, cry, and be totally honest. Together, we’ll unpack the heavy stuff so you can finally learn to love, see, and choose yourself.

You're exhausted, wondering if anyone is going to reach your teenage son with ADHD. I was that kid and found my way through. Your son is struggling the same way I did. ADHD, too much homework, too little interest, too many people telling him to just try harder. I didn't get real support until the end of high school. Treatment changed the trajectory of my life. I went from community college to the University of Florida, then to a Master of Social Work from Florida State. My bachelor's was in Education Sciences with a specialization in Educational Psychology, which means I understand how ADHD plays out in a classroom, where so much of your son's pain probably lives. School is hard enough for these kids already, which is why I see clients in the evenings and on weekends. Therapy shouldn't add to what school is already taking from him.

My therapeutic style is straightforward, and I invite open communication about clients’ experiences in therapy throughout the process. People would likely describe me as direct and straight to the point. Most often, I practice through the lenses of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and existential theory. How I help clients reach goals: I believe clients are capable of developing their own solutions, and that a collaborative therapeutic relationship can support meaningful progress toward the life they want. I hope that by working together, we can organize and achieve your goals, whatever they may be. If you're unsure of what direction you want to head, we can work on that together, too. My journey to becoming a provider: I am a prior service turned mental health professional. I served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic from 2009 to 2012, with one deployment to Iraq. After my service, I switched over to mental health, starting with working in an inpatient mental health facility. I have since worked at a substance use clinic, a private practice, a team practice, and taught psychoeducational classes alongside DHS. I hold two master’s degrees, in addition to a bachelor’s and an associate's degree. I bring specialized knowledge and clinical focus in trauma, sexual concerns, and disordered eating.

I am a therapist that enjoys using client centered strategies to help clients better understand themselves and how they exist in the world around them. When I look at my journey through life, I have found that some of the greatest changes I have made were through conversations with others who helped me to see the world from a lens of choice. I have learned over the years that choice relates to actions, that in turn influence dynamics of empowerment and advocacy. Empowerment, advocacy, and perseverance are terms easy to grasp by definition, but much more difficult to follow through with in our day to day experiences. I believe that healing and growth really begin to set in when decisions are made to accept the current reality of ones life and then further commit to strategically apply necessary changes. Over time, I have noticed that therapy often can help people (myself included) gain a greater sense of self efficacy and self confidence, especially when we learn how powerful our thoughts and actions can be! In other words, it is ok if there are things happening in our day that we would rather not go through, however we also have a choice in how we respond in that day. I value the importance of a healthy and healing therapeutic relationship! I also value the process of exploring how trust and hope participate towards how we experience the world.

Hi! I am Laura and I provide a compassionate, supportive space for individuals navigating life’s challenges, trauma, or anxiety. I work with clients who want to better understand themselves, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop practical strategies for coping and growth. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s experiences. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore feelings at their own pace. Many of the people I work with feel stuck or uncertain about how past experiences affect their present lives. I help them build insight, self-compassion, and resilience while guiding them toward their personal goals. While my focus is on individual work, I also address the impact of relationships on well-being, helping clients navigate interpersonal challenges when they arise. I support clients in strengthening emotional awareness, identifying unhelpful patterns, and developing tools to respond to life’s stressors more effectively. I am drawn to clients who are curious about their inner world and ready to take steps toward meaningful change, even when it feels challenging. My goal is to walk alongside each client with warmth, respect, and understanding, empowering them to feel more confident in themselves and their choices. Therapy is a journey, and I’m honored to guide clients as they explore, heal, and grow. Whether you’re seeking relief from emotional distress, clarity in your experiences, or a deeper connection to yourself, I provide support that is empathetic, practical, and rooted in your unique path.

I am a therapist who works with adolescents, teens, and adults across all stages of life. I believe that every individual has a unique story, which is why I take an eclectic approach to therapy—drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities to meet each client's specific needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My practice is grounded in authenticity, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their challenges and strengths. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, attachment issues, codependency, emotional regulation challenges, trauma recovery and personal growth goals. Together, we collaborate to develop insight, build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change that aligns with each client's values and goals.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience. I’ve learned that while clinical tools are essential, they work best when delivered with warmth and empathy. I have a Master’s in Social Work from LSU (Geaux Tigers!). I spent the last eight years working extensively with the Veteran population. This experience deepened my expertise in trauma-focused, evidence-based care, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and many other protocols. I believe there is no one quite like you, so I keep my approach individualized to you, prioritizing our relationship as the foundation for growth. Whether you are navigating difficult life transitions or daily challenges, I am committed to a practical, solution-focused partnership that honors your unique story and helps you find your own rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

Yes! If you use Tufts Health/Cigna you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have Tufts Health/Cigna you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
