New to Grow
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Doctor of Natural and Bioenergetic Medicine, I have dedicated my career to understanding the profound dialogue between the mind and the body. In my years of clinical practice, I began to see a recurring pattern: traditional psychotherapy is powerful, but it often reaches a ceiling when the body’s "biological battery" is depleted. I realized that to truly help my clients heal from the inside out, I needed to bridge the gap between psychological processing and the body’s subtle energy systems. My approach is built on the premise that your life experiences—your joys, traumas, and daily stressors—do not just live in your memory; they live in your cells and your energetic field. By integrating my clinical LPC background with my doctoral training in bioenergetic medicine, I offer a unique, 360-degree therapeutic experience. We don't just talk about the obstacles in your life; we work to shift the underlying energetic and physiological patterns that keep those obstacles in place. Whether you are navigating the heavy fog of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the complexities of unresolved trauma, my practice is informed by a deep understanding of human bioenergetics. This allows us to look beyond surface-level symptoms to explore how your environment, your lifestyle, and your body’s unique energy pathways are impacting your emotional resilience. My mission is to guide you toward "Integrated Health"—a state where your mind is clear, your nervous system is regulated, and your spirit is fully aligned.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The Integrated Session: Psychotherapy Informed by Bioenergetic Medicine Description: In a standard therapeutic setting, the focus is often exclusively on thoughts and behaviors. Integrated Psychotherapy expands this lens to include the "where"—identifying exactly where stress, grief, or trauma is held within your physical and energetic system. By utilizing evidence-based counseling techniques through the specialized lens of a Bioenergetic Doctor, we create a more robust container for healing. What to Expect: Clinical Psychotherapy: Advanced LPC-level support utilizing modalities like CFT, EMDR, or mind-body focused therapy to navigate mental health challenges and life transitions. Bioenergetic Inquiry: A specialized assessment of your "vitality landscape," exploring how your physical energy levels and biological stressors are influencing your mood, sleep, and cognitive function. (Optional and additional cost) Nervous System Architecture: Practical tools to move your body out of chronic "survival mode" (fight/flight/freeze) and into a state of "safety and social engagement" using bioenergetic principles. Whole-Person Wellness Mapping: We work together to identify the lifestyle, nutritional, and energetic adjustments that will provide the strongest foundation for your psychological growth. Note: While I practice as an LPC, my doctoral knowledge in Bioenergetic Medicine informs the holistic framework of our work, ensuring we treat you as a whole person rather than a collection of symptoms.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my practice apart is the deliberate move away from "fragmented care." While many providers focus solely on the cognitive patterns of the mind or the physical symptoms of the body, my approach treats them as a single, unified system. By functioning as the bridge between clinical mental health and bioenergetic medicine, I am able to offer a depth of insight that traditional talk therapy often overlooks. We don't just manage your anxiety; we investigate the "biological battery" powering it. We don't just discuss your trauma; we work to shift the literal frequency of stress held within your nervous system. The result is a therapeutic experience that feels both deeply scientific and profoundly intuitive. Clients often find that because we are addressing the energetic "root" alongside the emotional "fruit," healing happens more efficiently and sustainably. You aren't just gaining coping skills; you are undergoing a total system recalibration. This method is designed for the seeker who is no longer satisfied with simply "getting by," but is instead ready to unlock a level of vibrant, whole-person vitality that honors the complex interplay of mind, body, and spirit.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Is Whole-Health Psychotherapy right for you? This integrated approach is designed for those who recognize that their mental wellness is inseparable from their physical and spiritual vitality. You may find this "bridge" particularly transformative if you resonate with any of the following: The "Talked Out" Client: You have spent years in traditional talk therapy and understand your "why," but you still feel the same physical symptoms of anxiety or heaviness in your body. The High-Achiever Facing Burnout: You are successful but feel biologically "drained," experiencing brain fog, chronic fatigue, or a sense that your system is constantly running on empty. The Mind-Body Seeker: You already value holistic living (nutrition, yoga, or alternative medicine) and want a mental health professional who speaks that same language and can integrate it into clinical work. The Trauma Survivor: You recognize that your past is "stuck" in your nervous system and you are looking for gentle, energetic ways to find safety and regulation without just rehashing old stories. The Spiritually Attuned: You view your mental health as part of a larger spiritual journey and want a space where your spirit and energy are honored as part of the clinical process.
Compassion Focused
I’ve been using Compassion Focused (CFT) in my practice for the past seven years. CFT is a form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) blended with mindfulness. It reduces shame, self-criticism, and anxiety by training the brain to activate its "soothing system". It strengthens emotional resilience, improves self-esteem, and aids in regulating emotions, particularly for those with trauma, depression, or eating disorders. CFT fosters a kinder, non-blaming inner dialogue for healthy self-regulation of emotional distress.
EMDR
I have used Eye Movement Desensitzation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) in my practice for the past 10 years. While primarily known for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I use EMDR as an integrative approach with other therapies such as Positive Psychology, CFT, and inner child work into a broader modality for anxiety, depression, addiction, and phobias. It uses bilateral stimulation to reprocess traumatic memories and negative beliefs, fostering cognitive, emotional, and somatic healing. This integrative approach has been highly empowering for the clients with whom I work.
Eclectic
As a seasoned holistic mental health therapist, I have many tools in my toolbox with which to work. I am a board-certified Doctor of Natural and Energetic medicine. I utilize a "whole health" approach with clients to correct energetic misalignment of mind, body, and heart (spirit). I describe my therapeutic approach as Eclectic. Eclectic Therapy is a therapy approach that draws the most relevant techniques from other evidence-based therapy modalities together for an effective, individualized treatment plan. As an Eclectic Therapist I value the fact that each client is unique and has unique needs in therapy. By using this Eclectic Therapy approach, you and I can create a treatment plan that is flexible, accommodating, comfortable, and informed by cutting-edge bioenergetic treatment. We won’t be stuck in one therapy modality and can instead switch between multiple approaches as appropriate.
