New to Grow
I understand that seeking therapy can feel like a big step, and I want to meet you where you are. With over three years of experience, my goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. I deeply value the connections I make with my clients and believe that personal growth happens when you feel safe to explore your feelings, challenges, and aspirations. While not every therapist will be the right fit for everyone, my commitment is to walk alongside you and help you find the tools you need to move forward, whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply seeking personal growth. Together, we can work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space focused on getting to know one another and beginning to build trust. We will review some initial paperwork and discuss general background information, including questions required for insurance purposes, as well as your current concerns and goals for therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to share what you hope to gain from counseling and to ask any questions you may have about my approach or the therapeutic process. I value openness and transparency, and I want you to feel comfortable expressing your thoughts throughout. I also recognize that finding the right therapist is important, and I encourage honest communication if you ever feel that I may not be the best fit for your needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to genuinely connect with clients and create a space where they feel safe, heard, and understood. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity, as I believe meaningful growth begins with feeling comfortable enough to be open and honest. I take an individualized approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of strategies to tailor the experience to each person’s unique needs, goals, and strengths. I focus on helping clients build practical skills, improve emotional regulation, and recognize their progress over time. My goal is to ensure that each client feels supported, empowered, and confident in their ability to create lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults ages 18 and older who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process and have a desire to work toward meaningful change. I especially enjoy working with individuals who have identified areas they would like to improve and are motivated to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a supportive environment. I strive to create a comfortable, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship is central to my approach, as I believe lasting growth happens when clients feel safe enough to be open and honest. I am well-positioned to support individuals seeking to strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, gain clarity around personal goals, and develop healthier patterns in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop more adaptive coping strategies. In my work, CBT is particularly effective in supporting emotional regulation, building practical coping skills, and increasing clients’ sense of control over their responses to stressors. I often integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills-based interventions, while tailoring the approach to meet each client’s individual needs and goals.
Christian Counseling
I incorporate Christian counseling principles into my practice when clients express a desire to integrate their faith into the therapeutic process. I respect each client’s individual beliefs and only include faith-based interventions at their request. When appropriate, I may integrate prayer, Scripture reflection, and biblical principles alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support healing and growth. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where clients can explore their concerns in a way that aligns with both their clinical needs and their spiritual values.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) principles into my practice to help clients identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and recognize progress toward meaningful change. Using strategies from this model, I work collaboratively with clients to define clear, attainable outcomes and establish what success looks like for them. I utilize techniques such as scaling questions, exception-finding, and future-oriented dialogue to highlight growth and identify when clients are approaching their desired goals. This approach supports efficiency, empowerment, and a focus on practical, achievable steps forward.
