Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my priority is creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We will spend time getting to know what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I take a trauma-informed approach, which means I will ask thoughtful questions while respecting boundaries, offering choice, and ensuring you feel grounded throughout the session. We will also begin identifying your strengths, existing supports, and what has helped—even in small ways—so far. Together, we’ll clarify initial goals and discuss how therapy can be most helpful for you. I may introduce gentle coping or grounding strategies and provide an overview of how I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT and solution-focused techniques. You will leave the session with a clearer sense of what therapy with me will look like and next steps moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths include creating a safe, trauma-informed therapeutic space where clients feel supported, respected, and empowered to engage at their own pace. I am skilled at integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients understand unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies they can use in daily life. I bring a collaborative, strengths-based approach that emphasizes client autonomy, resilience, and existing resources while also providing clear structure and guidance. I am able to break complex or overwhelming experiences into manageable steps, helping clients feel less stuck and more hopeful about change. My communication style is transparent and validating, and I prioritize building trust, clarity, and momentum early in the therapeutic process to support meaningful and sustainable growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are seeking practical, evidence-based support while also valuing a compassionate, trauma-informed therapeutic relationship. My ideal clients may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, and are open to developing insight, coping skills, and actionable goals. Many of the clients I support appreciate a collaborative approach that honors their lived experiences while focusing on strengths, resilience, and forward movement. Whether addressing long-standing challenges or navigating current stressors, my clients are motivated to create meaningful change at a pace that feels safe, empowering, and sustainable.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a core treatment modality in my clinical practice. I have extensive experience using CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotional responses, and develop effective coping and problem-solving skills. I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure strategies, and skills practice in a collaborative and goal-oriented manner.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care is foundational to my clinical approach. I have extensive experience working with individuals impacted by acute and complex trauma, and I prioritize safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration in every therapeutic relationship. I use a trauma-informed lens to understand how past experiences influence current thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and nervous system responses. In practice, this means pacing treatment carefully, offering choice and transparency, strengthening emotional regulation skills, and integrating evidence-based interventions that support stabilization, processing, and resilience while honoring each client’s lived experience and autonomy.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is an integral part of my clinical practice. I use this approach to help clients identify strengths, resources, and past successes while clarifying meaningful, achievable goals. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I collaborate with clients to explore what is already working and how small, intentional changes can lead to sustainable progress. In practice, I incorporate solution-focused techniques such as goal setting, scaling questions, and exception-finding to support motivation, enhance self-efficacy, and promote practical, client-driven change across a range of clinical concerns.
