When life's challenges - work, relationships, money troubles, illness or injury become too much to manage, or when the pain of the past pops up when you least expect it to disrupt sleep, or when daily stressors build up and make it hard to cope, that's when more than a friendly ear is needed. That's when a professional can help you heal the compounding effects of life experiences. If you are seeking long-term relief from anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, grief or loss, I will help you heal those emotional injuries that compound over a lifetime and make life lose its meaning. And I will empower you to heal the emotional pain that is preventing you from living your best life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is basically a getting-to-know-you session or an information gathering session. It will focus mainly on what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of treatment. With that information we will come up with a treatment plan together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With a commitment to healing, I wrote the following books to ensure that everyone has inexpensive professional access to mental healthcare. Inner Awakenings Navigating the Emotional Black Hole Inside ~ A Therapeutic Workbook. With this step-by-step process, readers learn how to become their own emotional detective. The thought-provoking scenarios assist readers with developing healthier perspectives, and the skills and techniques in each chapter empower readers to heal through self-discovery, personal understanding, acceptance, and release. Preparing for the Journey Home. Was developed for those in poor health, caregivers and family members in need of support, those with a terminal diagnosis, or those who just want to be prepared for the inevitable end that awaits us all.

My treatment methods

Gestalt

I was initially trained in Rogerian theory which grew into Existential, then Gestalt. I have learned from and researched many modalities and find that the best treatment begins with what skills and techniques have proven most effective in my practice while attempting to modify treatment to fit patient need.
