I believe every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create a life that reflects who they truly are—not simply who they have learned to become through pain, trauma, or life experiences. As a therapist, I am naturally curious, compassionate, and deeply invested in understanding each person's unique story. Rather than viewing people through the lens of a diagnosis, I strive to understand the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped them. Clients often describe me as warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to while also appreciating that I ask meaningful questions that encourage deeper reflection and lasting change. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel genuinely seen, challenged when appropriate, and supported as they work toward becoming the healthiest version of themselves.
Our first session is less about "fixing" anything and more about getting to know you. I want to understand not only what has brought you to therapy, but also who you are beyond the challenges you're facing. We'll explore your current concerns, significant life experiences, relationships, family dynamics, personal strengths, values, and the goals you hope to accomplish through therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. Many people begin therapy knowing they are overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck but aren't yet sure why. Together, we'll begin identifying the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be contributing to those feelings. I believe understanding the "why" behind our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors often becomes the foundation for lasting change.
My approach is trauma-informed, spiritually integrated, and grounded in evidence-based practice. For clients who desire it, I thoughtfully incorporate spirituality and faith as sources of strength, meaning, and resilience. I specialize in reframing—helping clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors as adaptive responses rather than personal failures. This perspective often reduces shame and supports lasting change. Psycho-education is a core part of my work. Clients gain a clearer understanding of the brain, nervous system, and emotional patterns, along with practical tools to manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and navigate life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. Clients often report increased insight, emotional stability, and a stronger sense of alignment between their values and daily lives.
I work best with adults who are ready to move beyond simply managing life's challenges and are committed to understanding themselves on a deeper level. My ideal clients are not looking for someone to tell them what to do—they are looking for a trusted partner who will help them make sense of their experiences, recognize patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change. Many of the individuals I work with are thoughtful, compassionate, and highly self-aware. They often carry significant responsibilities at work, within their families, or in their relationships and are accustomed to being the person others depend on. From the outside, they may appear successful, resilient, and composed. Internally, however, they often feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or uncertain about how to move forward.

DaShelle was kind and understanding, asking important questions without making things feel uncomfortable. That hour felt like we were going through years of un-mended trauma and I was really thankful that I felt comfortable briefly unpacking that with her. She also gave me some things to check out in between our sessions together so I feel more confident about my personal progress already, to be honest.
