Hello, I'm Amanda. For over 20 years I've walked alongside people through every kind of mental health journey—from crisis moments in psychiatric hospitals to steady, hopeful growth in outpatient settings. My favorite thing is helping adults rediscover their strength, heal old wounds, and build lives that feel lighter and more joyful. I bring a calm, creative, down-to-earth energy to every conversation. I'm also a mom, grandma, and wife—balancing real life just like you do. Those experiences help me truly connect with people from every background and walk of life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
in our first session, we will review demographic information and discuss what brought you into therapy. I will ask some questions about your life and history to get a better idea of how I can help you reach your personal goals. We will discuss what those goals for therapy will look like and the strategies we will use to get you there. Together we’ll work at your pace, using practical tools (CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused strategies and more) to quiet the unhelpful thoughts, build better coping skills, and create real, lasting change.

I have been extensively trained in utilizing motivational interviewing to assist my clients in discovering their motivation for change.
