New to Grow
Hi, I’m Sammi! I’m a client-centered therapist who creates a safe, compassionate space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real human connection, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, build resilience, and explore practical strategies to improve your well-being. My approach is grounded and collaborative, meeting you where you are and moving at a pace that feels right for you.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a warm, open, and nonjudgmental space where you're invited to be exactly where you are — no pressure to have it all figured out. My goal is to help you feel safe, seen, and supported from the very beginning. We'll spend time getting to know each other — talking about what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and anything that feels important to share at your own pace. I’ll also ask some questions to better understand your story, your strengths, and the challenges you’re facing, while explaining how I work and what therapy with me can look like. More than anything, the first session is about building connection and trust. You're not expected to go deep right away or to share anything you're not ready to. I believe in meeting you where you are — with warmth, curiosity, and care.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe in a collaborative, client-centered therapeutic relationship where your experiences and strengths guide our work together. Therapy is a space that is meant to feel grounded, supportive, and nonjudgmental, where you can move at a pace that feels right for you. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt our sessions to meet your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Together, we will explore practical strategies for managing emotional distress, building resilience, and improving overall mental health. When helpful, our work may also include supporting healthy lifestyle changes—such as strengthening routines, increasing self-care, and developing sustainable habits—that align with your values and support long-term well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
You may be a young adult or adult who is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about where to go next. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition. Maybe you’re functioning day-to-day and feel disconnected from yourself or unsure how to make sense of what’s going on internally. You’re looking for a space that feels safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental. You may be hesitant, nervous, or unsure how to begin talking about what you’re experiencing—and that’s okay. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or overwhelming; it can be a collaborative, human process where you’re met with curiosity, care, and respect. If you’re open to slowing down, exploring your experiences, and building a deeper understanding of yourself within a supportive environment, we may be a good fit.
