I became a therapist as a second career. In my first career, I worked in marketing and analytics. I graduated with a BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. After working in the advertising, research, and business, I went back to school to get my Masters in Counseling and I started my counseling career. I have experience working with eating disorders in a residential facility and I am working on an eating disorder certification. I was a competitive runner about 10+ years ago which helps me understand athletes. Lastly, I have experience helping teen girls and women work through feelings of anxiety and depression.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I like to get to know my clients. In order to do the meaningful therapeutic work, clients need to feel safe, secure, and heard.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathic, compassionate and have a heart for helping people. I have a good balance of challenging clients and showing grace.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I like to help people with eating disorders find healing by helping them utilize coping skills and by helping them understand the root cause that the eating disorder is serving in their life. I also enjoy working with athletes. Lastly, I find the work meaningful that I do with teen girls and women. Most often, I am helping these women and girls work through feelings of depression and anxiety.
