New to Grow
I’m a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of experience working in crisis response, clinical assessment, and trauma-informed care. I work primarily with adults and adolescents 12+ navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, burnout, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, structured, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I look forward to working with people on an individual, voluntary basis. I worked for a long time on the involuntary end of treatment and still full heartedly believe in the capacity for change. I believe that the human spirit is intrinsically positive and we are all working towards being the best versions of ourselves with our available means. I applaud anyone reaching out to connect to another person in an attempt to better themselves, welcome you are in the right place. I help clients understand how past experiences and chronic stress continue to influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building practical skills for emotional regulation and sustainable coping. I place a strong emphasis on pacing, safety, and clarity, especially early in therapy, so clients feel supported while working toward meaningful change. I’m especially well suited to working with individuals who lead active lifestyles and value a therapy process that is goal-oriented, engaged, and applicable to everyday life. My goal is to provide a steady, supportive space where insight leads to action and progress feels both realistic and lasting.
In our first session, you can expect a balance of structure and flexibility. I’ll guide the conversation to understand what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to change, and how your experiences have shaped current patterns, while also making space for whatever feels most important to address that day. We’ll focus on getting oriented, building trust, and clarifying goals. Together we'll assess what skills and supports you already have so we can make a clear, collaborative plan moving forward. During our first session we will create space for letting problems unfold naturally, at your own pace without pressure. Most clients leave the first session with a greater sense of direction and next steps, along with feeling more grounded and supported.
My greatest strengths include creating a calm, supportive space while helping clients actively work toward meaningful change. I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that emphasizes practical coping strategies and emotional regulation. I work especially well with individuals who want therapy to support both mental health and overall day-to-day functioning.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused CBT as a framework rather than a rigid protocol. My work emphasizes helping clients recognize how trauma has shaped patterns of thinking and emotional responses, while building skills for grounding, regulation, and meaning-making. Interventions are paced intentionally, with attention to safety, choice, and the client’s lived experience.
