Hi! I am Laura and I provide a compassionate, supportive space for individuals navigating life’s challenges, trauma, or anxiety. I work with clients who want to better understand themselves, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop practical strategies for coping and growth. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s experiences. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore feelings at their own pace. Many of the people I work with feel stuck or uncertain about how past experiences affect their present lives. I help them build insight, self-compassion, and resilience while guiding them toward their personal goals. While my focus is on individual work, I also address the impact of relationships on well-being, helping clients navigate interpersonal challenges when they arise. I support clients in strengthening emotional awareness, identifying unhelpful patterns, and developing tools to respond to life’s stressors more effectively. I am drawn to clients who are curious about their inner world and ready to take steps toward meaningful change, even when it feels challenging. My goal is to walk alongside each client with warmth, respect, and understanding, empowering them to feel more confident in themselves and their choices. Therapy is a journey, and I’m honored to guide clients as they explore, heal, and grow. Whether you’re seeking relief from emotional distress, clarity in your experiences, or a deeper connection to yourself, I provide support that is empathetic, practical, and rooted in your unique path.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session with me, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. I’ll ask about your current challenges, your goals for therapy, and any past experiences that may be relevant. This session is a safe, confidential space where you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll also discuss how I work, what therapy might look like for you, and any questions you have about the process. Together, we’ll start exploring strategies and insights that can help you begin making positive changes. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, supported, and understood from the very first session, so you can start building a foundation for growth, clarity, and self-compassion.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I excel at helping individuals articulate emotions they may have struggled to identify or express, which allows for deeper insight and meaningful growth. My approach combines active listening, personalized guidance, and practical coping strategies to help clients navigate anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. What stands out about my work is my focus on meeting clients exactly where they are. I tailor interventions to each person’s needs and pace, blending psychoeducation, emotional processing, and skills-building so clients feel empowered rather than overwhelmed. Clients often report leaving sessions with greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence in their ability to handle challenges. I’m particularly skilled at helping clients identify patterns that no longer serve them and providing tools to shift toward healthier responses. By emphasizing understanding, validation, and actionable strategies, my clients experience tangible progress while building resilience and insight that lasts beyond therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support individuals who are navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, and life transitions, and who are ready—at their own pace—to better understand themselves. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by their emotions, disconnected from their sense of self, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I work especially well with clients who may struggle to put words to their internal experiences or who have learned to minimize their needs in order to cope. Together, we create a space where emotions can be explored safely, without judgment, and where clients can build insight, self-compassion, and more effective ways of coping. My ideal client doesn’t need to have everything figured out—they just need a willingness, even a small one, to be curious about their experiences and open to growth. I value meeting clients exactly where they are and tailoring the work to support their unique goals, whether that’s improving emotional regulation, strengthening boundaries, processing trauma, or simply feeling more like themselves again.
