Hi, I'm Mali. Do you feel you cannot continue your life as it is? Maybe change is necessary because you have hit rock bottom? Or are you simply seeking someone to help you navigate and discuss your thoughts and emotions? No matter what your situation, if you're motivated and think we could work well together, I'd be happy to assist you in achieving your goals and becoming a better version of yourself. My commitment is to create a safe space for you to talk about your thoughts and feelings. I can empower women who may feel stuck in their childhood traumas, past toxic relationships, or current difficult situations. I use proven methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as family theories to assist you on your journey. I hold two master’s degrees; one in clinical psychology from Iran and one in marriage and family therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of TX.
I will try to get to know you and your life journey as much as possible in the first session. I will start with more general information and towards the end of our session I will ask more specific questions to get a full understanding of different aspects of the issue that is bothering you. We will also talk about your therapy goals and what needs to happen for you to feel satisfied at the end of our work together.
I have previously assisted clients with challenges in a range of difficulties, however there are areas where my knowledge is not that extensive. I have expertise in the following domains: ADHD, anger management, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, coping skills, couples counseling, family conflicts, borderline personality disorder, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, trauma, and PTSD. However, I may not be the most suitable choice if you require assistance with the following issues: addiction, career counseling, child and adolescent counseling, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, grief counseling, LGBTQ concerns, learning disabilities, autism, men's issues, OCD, or school-related challenges.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD that helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to their trauma. In practice, I guide clients through structured sessions that focus on recognizing stuck points, examining thought patterns, and developing healthier perspectives. By using cognitive restructuring techniques, I help clients reduce distress, improve emotional regulation, and regain a sense of control over their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. In practice, I work with clients to recognize distortions in thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and implement behavioral changes that improve emotional well-being. By using techniques such as cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, and behavioral activation, I help clients build resilience and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Integrative treatment combines elements from a variety of therapeutic approaches to create a personalized plan that best meets the needs of each client. In practice, I draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, emotionally focused therapy, Gottman's method, attachment based theories, and person-centered approaches to address emotional and behavioral challenges. By tailoring interventions based on the client's unique experiences, I help them develop effective coping strategies, build resilience, and achieve lasting personal growth.
