New to Grow
Hi, I’m Carolyn, a therapist passionate about supporting neurodivergent children, teens, and adults as they navigate anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, blending evidence-based therapies with nervous system-informed care to help clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. I strive to create a supportive space where clients can build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with their authentic selves at their own pace. I became a therapist because I deeply believe people deserve safe, compassionate spaces where they can be fully themselves — messy, hopeful, hurting, and growing — without fear of judgment. Watching clients rediscover their inner light, reclaim their strengths, and gradually step into their power is the most meaningful and humbling part of my work.
We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what support looks like for you. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit.
In addition to my professional training, I bring lived experience to this work. I am neurodivergent myself, living with ADHD and PTSD. That means I understand — both clinically and personally — how nervous system regulation, executive functioning challenges, and chronic stress can shape daily life.
I offer a warm, collaborative, and non‑judgmental space where you can explore your story, understand your patterns, and grow in ways that feel authentic and empowering. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming care. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, Autism, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. My work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing happens when we feel safe, supported, and understood. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I show up authentically — with empathy, humor when appropriate, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
EMDR
I incorporate EMDR to help clients process traumatic experiences, reduce distress, and build more adaptive beliefs in a safe and paced way that can be effectively adapted for virtual sessions.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I also use Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and trauma responses while building coping skills, emotional resilience, and a greater sense of safety and empowerment.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing techniques in teletherapy to help clients gently increase awareness of body sensations, regulate the nervous system, and process stress or trauma in a gradual, supportive, and body-based way.
