Hello, my name is Ella Maffei, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with five years of experience. I work with a diverse range of clients, from young adults facing self-image, anxiety, and adjustment issues to older adults navigating life transitions, aging, and depression. My goal is to empower clients to improve their overall quality of life. I am passionate about providing clients with a warm and nurturing environment where they feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings.
In our first session together, we will focus on getting to know one another and going over the general aspects of therapy as well as aspects that are specific to only you. We will go through a little of your history as well as your current situation. Then, together, we will identify goals and objectives that you have for your time in therapy. I'll also answer any questions you have. Although therapy can seem intimidating, I try to cultivate a nurturing and pleasant environment! Let's do this together!

I am a therapist dedicated to supporting clients who are ready for positive change but find the adjustment process challenging. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients navigating significant life changes and adjustments. My approach is especially tailored to the unique challenges faced by my clients, helping them to cultivate psychological flexibility and find meaning in their evolving circumstances.
I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients overcome the limiting effects of anxiety and depression. Through CBT, clients are able to regain control of their thoughts and emotions.
I find it is very important to be able to meet clients where they are at. Therapy is not a one size fits all model and I want to make it work for YOU.

I've been working with Ella for a little over a year and she has helped my livelihood TREMENDOUSLY. I have gone through a handful of therapists who didn't seem to care or approach me in the right way but I'm so glad to have Ella as my therapist as she has been able to. I've become more confident and empowered in myself and my decisions which, in turn, has improved my overall mental health. I can't thank and recommend her enough to anyone who is looking for someone to guide them.
