Hello, there! I'm Tonya Are you struggling with feelings of inadequacy, difficulty with making everyday decisions, or a loss rather it be a person, career, marriage or a traumatic event? Clarity – We all want it – it’s a fundamental human need and together we can work towards gaining perspective and balance. I desire to create a safe, non-judgmental, and inviting space for clarity, hope and healing. For the last twenty-plus years, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health settings as a social worker. I am passionate about helping individuals and together, we can identify what's not working, find clarity, and a sense of hope and get you back to balance!
In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing. You set the pace to make you feel comfortable.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strength-based, and eclectic, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each client. Every client is unique, the variety might include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, and Mindfulness to name a few.
In our sessions together, I will meet you with compassion, empower you to trust yourself and we will work together to create an individualized action plan to achieve your desired goals and sense of purpose. Let's work together!
