D'Anna Ready
As a Clinical Social Worker, I am passionate about supporting you through life’s ebbs and flows. I am committed to meeting you exactly where you are and walking with you as you make meaningful, positive changes.
My approach integrates both faith-based principles and cognitive behavioral therapy, helping you reshape thought patterns, unlearn what no longer serves you, and move toward renewed wholeness and clarity.
Whether you’re facing emotional distress, life transitions, or personal challenges, my goal is to equip you with practical coping tools that help you navigate these moments and create lasting growth.
First session
In our first session, my priority is to build a genuine connection and understand how I can best support you. We’ll explore what you’re experiencing, what may trigger certain emotions, and what you hope to achieve. This helps us create a foundation for meaningful guidance as you navigate life’s moments and grow into the healthiest version of yourself.
Strengths
I offer a faith-based practice where I don’t just listen—I encourage, support, and walk alongside you in your healing journey. I bring passion, understanding, and a deeply compassionate presence to every session. My approach integrates both faith-based principles and cognitive behavioral therapy, helping you reshape thought patterns, unlearn what no longer serves you, and move toward renewed wholeness and clarity.
Ideal clients
I work with individuals who are ready to prioritize their emotional well-being, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. My ideal clients are individuals who may be accustomed to caring for others, managing multiple responsibilities, and putting their own needs on the back burner. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, unresolved trauma, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves and the life they desire. I welcome individuals who are willing to explore their experiences, challenge patterns that no longer serve them, and develop healthier ways of thinking, relating, and responding to life's challenges. My approach combines compassionate, client-centered care with evidence-based therapeutic practices. For those who desire it, we also offer space for faith-integrated reflection and growth. You don't have to wait until life feels unmanageable to seek support. You deserve the opportunity to heal, grow, and experience life beyond survival mode.
Origin story
Becoming a therapist truly felt like answering a calling. It wasn't necessarily something I went searching for; it was something I believe I was called to do. Long before I ever became a social worker, I knew I wanted to do something that allowed me to uplift, encourage, and make a difference in the lives of others. My mom loves to joke that, as a little girl, I wanted to grow up to be a professional gas station attendant whose job was to pump other people's gas. I mean, even back then, apparently I was committed to being of service! The fact that I wanted to make a career out of helping people get somewhere is pretty on brand, if you ask me. As my career in social work evolved, so did my understanding of what I could contribute. I realized there was so much more I wanted to do beyond simply helping people get through difficult moments. I wanted to be present in some of life's most vulnerable seasons, create space for healing, and help people recognize the strength, potential, and possibility that already exist within them. And here I am! Still doing what that little girl always wanted to do: helping people along their journey. Just with a little less gasoline and a lot more therapy.
Ongoing work together
I believe meaningful change happens through consistency, self-awareness, reflection, and intentional action. Our sessions are designed to help you understand where you are, explore how you got here, and identify the steps needed to move toward where you want to be. I don't believe in rushing the process. I believe in purposeful conversations, practical tools, and creating opportunities for lasting change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
During our sessions, I use CBT to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We may explore situations that trigger certain feelings, identify the thoughts you have in those moments, and examine whether those thoughts are helping you or keeping you stuck. Together, we'll work on challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, developing healthier perspectives, and practicing practical tools you can use outside of therapy. The goal is to help you become more aware of your patterns and feel better equipped to respond to life's challenges.
Compassion-Focused
I incorporate compassion-focused techniques to help you develop a healthier and more supportive relationship with yourself. We may explore how you speak to yourself, how you respond when you make mistakes, and whether past experiences have influenced the way you view yourself. Together, we'll work on recognizing self-critical thoughts, understanding the emotions behind them, and learning to respond with greater patience and compassion.
Faith-based therapy
Faith can be an important part of your identity, values, and healing journey. When it is meaningful to you, I incorporate faith-based perspectives into our sessions to support emotional growth, self-reflection, and personal development. We may explore how your beliefs influence the way you view yourself, navigate relationships, make decisions, and respond to life's challenges. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where your emotional and spiritual well-being can be acknowledged and supported without judgment or pressure.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
During our sessions, I incorporate mindfulness techniques to help you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses. We may practice slowing down, recognizing emotional triggers, and learning how to respond to difficult experiences without becoming overwhelmed by them. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, emotionally aware, and better equipped to navigate stressful situations.
Motivational Interviewing
During our sessions, I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your goals, identify what may be holding you back, and strengthen your motivation for change. Rather than telling you what decisions to make, I help you explore your options, recognize your strengths, and identify changes that feel meaningful and realistic to you. The goal is to help you feel more confident, empowered, and intentional about the changes you want to make.
