“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Caroline Flack Hello! I am Julia. Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed by current events or the direction your life has taken? Do you find yourself repeating behaviors or patterns of behavior that contribute to your unhappiness, and you don’t understand why? Do you have thoughts or feelings that upset you? Are you struggling to handle sudden changes in your life, including new physical limitations? I have good news. You are not alone. And help is out there. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I focus on providing a safe, compassionate, empathetic environment while also promoting accountability and proactive planning to encourage positive changes. Most importantly, I am here to work with you to help you on your journey to become the person you want to be. To that end, we will work together to determine what strategies work best for you. I am here to listen and support, without judgment.
In a first session, we will focus on who you are as a person, what is most important to you now, what you've been through, and where you want go next in life. Think of it as a little fact-finding mission about yourself. This helps lay a foundation of trust, but also of practicing the skill of conceptualizing the problem and envisioning a positive future.
My biggest strength is my open-minded compassion and empathy. Whatever it is you are struggling with, I am here without judgment to help. In keeping with the words of Ms. Flack, I have chosen to be kind, and I carry that with me into my therapeutic relationship with you.
I like working with adults of all ages who have come to a point in their lives where they are seeking change but may be struggling with how to identify that change or how to make that change happen. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, or even confused about why they are doing the things they do or why they cannot seem to make a lasting change.

I consider myself a "lifelong user" of cognitive-behavior therapy, as the child of a CBT/DBT therapist. Now, as a therapist myself I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be contributing to their emotional distress. Through collaborative dialogue and structured techniques, we work together to reframe negative thinking, build healthier coping strategies, and develop more balanced perspectives. I tailor each session to the individual’s needs, drawing on practical exercises and goal-oriented methods to promote lasting change and personal growth.
