New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. I work with adolescent and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and other emotional challenges. My person-centered approach allows us to work together at your pace while helping you build practical skills, gain insight, and create meaningful, lasting change.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We will discuss your history, current concerns, strengths, and any challenges affecting your daily life. There is no pressure to share everything at once, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of our first session, we’ll identify goals that are meaningful to you and begin creating a plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a clear understanding of how we can work together moving forward.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth when they feel genuinely understood and supported. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, which means I meet you where you are rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I strive to create a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment while also helping you develop practical strategies to navigate life’s challenges. Clients often appreciate my ability to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and balance compassion with honest, constructive feedback. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, develop effective coping skills, and work toward goals that align with your values and the life you want to create.
My ideal clients are adults and adolescents who are ready to better understand themselves and create positive change. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by daily responsibilities. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after time away, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and help you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Person-centered therapy is the foundation of my approach. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable while building on your strengths, increasing self-awareness, and working toward meaningful, lasting change.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge beliefs that may be contributing to distress, and develop healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. I also incorporate practical coping strategies and between-session exercises to help clients build confidence, reinforce new skills, and create lasting change in their everyday lives.
I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment. Through practices such as mindful breathing, grounding exercises, and present-moment awareness, clients learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, regulate emotions, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and intention. These skills can be integrated into daily life to support long-term emotional well-being.
I use Positive Psychology to help clients recognize and build upon their existing strengths, values, and personal resources. Together, we explore what contributes to a sense of purpose, confidence, and fulfillment while identifying ways to increase resilience and create meaningful change. This approach focuses not only on managing challenges, but also on helping clients develop the skills and mindset needed to thrive.
I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the challenges they are experiencing. By providing clear, practical information about mental health concepts, coping strategies, and evidence-based tools, I help clients gain insight and feel more empowered in their healing process. This approach allows us to work together to develop skills that can be applied in everyday life.
