A board certified licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. I have 7 years as a licensed clinician and a total of 17+ years of conjoint experience in both the health/mental health field. I have been fortunate to have vast experience working with children and families, facilitator for prepare and enrich, facilitator in Incredible Years; positive parenting, couples, Alzheimer's and Dementia and end of life, individuals struggling with severe psychotic disorders, grief and loss, trauma, eating disorders and more.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. I will have client share reasons for therapy at that time, if had previous experience with therapy; what worked and if anything they believe strongly did not. We will discuss goals for therapy (next 1-3 months), expectations of therapy; what they are wanting out of therapy, as well as outcomes; at end of therapy how would like to see things different for themselves.
Empathy, personal experiences, warm presence, I am dedicated to my client's and genuine in my guidance and interactive with my patients, and client centered. I operate eclectically and brings flexibility in my work to be able to pull from various modalities or theoretical approaches in the moment with what the client is bringing into therapy whether on first day or sessions following. I work transparently and when I sense readiness in the client these are the key moments in which I might 'push' for change. However, initially I share all of these ways I work and allow for room if client wishes to make adjustments, to operate collaboratively, as the client really is the expert of their life, I am here to guide them on their journey.

My experience thus far includes helping individuals with stress/anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relational difficulties/abandonment, family conflicts/communication struggles, motivation, self esteem/confidence and more. I believe that every individual is the expert of their life story and that we all have many strengths that assists us in obtaining, strengthening, and overcoming things that challenge us. Which in turn can provide us with ongoing insight, as well as the ability to learn, integrate and create our own individualized resiliency. Additionally then allows us the room to grow and develop our own effective tools, coping skills and/or strategies, to then be utilized throughout the course our lifetime.
