(he/him)
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California, providing telehealth therapy for adults facing anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and major life transitions. I specialize in helping clients gain clarity around their emotional experiences through thoughtful assessment and accurate diagnosis, which lays the foundation for effective, individualized care. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), combining evidence-based strategies with a collaborative, compassionate style. I help clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop coping tools, and reconnect with their values to build meaningful change. If you're feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just ready to better understand yourself, I seek to offer you a clear, supportive path forward.
The first day. You and I have to meet each other and make sure that we're going to be a good fit. We'll introduce ourselves and I'll ask a bunch of broad questions to understand the scope of what is happening.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is helping clients bring clarity and structure to overwhelming emotional experiences. With a background in inpatient psychiatric and emergency department-level psychiatric care, I’ve developed a strong ability to assess complex situations quickly and accurately—skills that now support my outpatient work in helping clients understand the deeper patterns behind their distress. My approach is grounded in logic, rationality, and precision. I emphasize accurate thinking, cognitive flexibility, and the ability to distinguish emotion-driven assumptions from reality. I also place a strong focus on psychoeducation. I believe clients should leave therapy not only feeling better, but also understanding themselves better. I aim to teach my clients how to recognize patterns, apply skills, and develop the insight needed to self-regulate effectively—so that by the time they’re ready to end treatment, they can continue making progress independently with confidence and clarity.
I’m a good fit for individuals who are ready to make sense of their internal experiences and want a grounded, thoughtful approach to doing so. I work best with individuals who are curious—about their patterns, their reactions, and the parts of life that feel confusing or hard to navigate. Whether someone is feeling off without knowing exactly why, or has a specific concern they want to address, I help them find clarity and direction. My style is structured yet flexible, offering both space for reflection and concrete strategies to move things forward. I prioritize understanding each client’s situation through careful listening and accurate assessment, so that our work is focused and intentional from the start. This approach works especially well for those who have found other forms of support too vague or disconnected from their actual concerns. Together, we work to identify what’s getting in the way—and build a clearer sense of how to move through it.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy often as the first step, to frame and understand our thoughts and their links to our emotions and behaviors. We would seek to identify and change any inaccurate thinking to have thoughts that are accurate and reflective of reality.
After developing more accurate thoughts, we may still struggle with challenging emotions. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a framework that allows us to tolerate any challenging emotions while still behaving in a way consistent with our personally held values.
