My name is Tammy Que Phan Vuong. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) #99848 in San Francisco Bay Area, California. I am trilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, and English. I grew up in a village in Guangdong, China and immigrated to San Francisco when I was a teenager with my family. As a first generation immigrant, I struggled with language barriers, acculturation and identities. With time I was able to slowly improve by finding and exploring my own identities and true self and understand how these challenges have shaped the person I am today. My background as an immigrant and life experiences, led me to choose social work as my career and passion. It’s my hope to use all the skills I have to assist you, explore with you and provide guidance on whatever stage you are in at the moment.
We will get to know each other and to get comfortable.
My styles are warm and client centered. I meet clients where they are at and providing the right tools to help client grow and better manage their symptoms.
I use CBT for my practice on helping client better manage their symptoms including anxiety, depression, relationship/marriage issues, and work stress.
Mindfulness techniques on staying calm and mindful. Focusing on thought process and emotions regulation, learn skills on how to deal with distress and interpersonal skills.
