Hi, I am Dana. I believe in you and your ability to navigate difficult times in your life and to resolve old traumas, hurts and disappointments. With a passion to support you in your personal and professional growth. In this present time, one does not need to be mentally ill to seek therapy. Therapy creates a sacred space in our lives to address, deal with, process thoughts and feelings while learning new healthy coping skills. My job is to help you find what works for you and meets your needs. I believe in self-determination. No one knows your life and your relationships better than you. As a therapist, its my job to assist you in living an authentic life, with contentment and happiness, assisting you in alleviating suffering. I am a tribally enrolled American Indian who appreciates diversity. I welcome all faiths, all nationalities here in this healing space. I specialize in neurodivergence, ADHD, womens issues, depression and anxiety. NOTE: Please schedule on the hour, I don't schedule on the half hour.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session together we will review your Intake form, and discuss the challenges you are facing and your expectations and goals for therapy. We will eventually gather a history of family issues/dysfunction that may allow you to better understand your reactions and responses to your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths address gradual gentle changes that create momentum and result in desired life changes for the individual, and their respective families when appropriate. I can assist you in unpacking and resolving long standing painful situations.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am certified in CBT with the Beck Institute. I can help you deconstruct unhealthy values, and the thought constructions around using unhealthy coping skills. It takes work on your behalf utilizing journal prompts and homework after therapy.

Compassion Focused

I focus on treating the heart and soul of the person, and educate and support you in treating yourself with loving kindness and compassion. It matters how we treat ourselves and talk to ourselves.

Eclectic

I utilize many different treatment theories and therapies, because we are all so unique.
