Hello there my name is Blake and I look forward to getting to know and work with you. I've been fortunate enough to work with all age ranges for the past 6 years providing assistance to those struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidality, post-traumatic stress, as well as grief and loss. I enjoy working alongside my clients utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve the quality of life and reinstill a healthy and sustainable trajectory.
At our first session I prefer going over the assessment form to help guide us and work collaboratively on therapeutic goals and outcomes you aspire most for. Throughout therapy as we get to build upon sessions I strive to implement healthy coping skills and at times homework to help build and reinforce healthy habits. When we come to the end of therapy it is beneficial to reassess and review the progress that you have made along the way.
I enjoy exploring and using the coping skills readily available and sustainable for my clients. Such coping skills often include: music, exercise, journaling, art, crafting, reading, prayer/spiritual practice, breathing, and meditating to name a few. The most effective and important things needed for therapy of course include honesty and clear goals to aim for in therapy.
My biggest strength is that I am approachable and easy to talk to on account of my ability to use active listening. My hope is to help you feel heard, provide fresh and honest insight, as well as set up sustainable and healthy habits to improve your quality of life.
