Hello. I'm Robyn, If you are here, there's a good chance that you have been trying your best to navigate challenges that feel like too much. You may be feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or out of sync with the life you want to live. You may be going through a life transition, have become more aware of past or present traumas impacting you now, or have faced a recent difficult experience, and are ready to begin your healing journey. I help empower teens and adults to overcome past adverse and traumatic experiences to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Adversity and trauma may have led you to experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, or relationship challenges, that negatively impact your daily life. But these symptoms do not define you. Rather they speak to the hardships and challenges you have faced. Allow me to offer you a safe space to process your story and learn new skills to begin your healing journey, release shame, build self-compassion, and live authentically YOU. I look forward to working together.
During our first session, we will have a conversation about what is currently bothering you and what you are looking to get from our sessions together to identify a plan to get you there. We'll also talk about your past experiences, family, and relationships as well as explore what currently is going well for you. Know that you do not have to share anything you aren't ready to share during our first introduction, it can take time to build a trusting relationship and I want to ensure you feel safe in our space.
I aim to provide you with a warm, non-judgmental, and honest space for you to share your story, explore your hopes, and celebrate your strengths. Whether this is your first time in therapy, or you have tried numerous approaches, I am here to walk alongside you.
I have 6 years of experience providing EMDR, an evidenced-based therapy, to my clients resolve traumatic experiences and the symptoms that impair you in your day-to-day life. This treatment can also improve self esteem, reduce anxiety and depression, and help you overcome longstanding problems
Narrative therapy can help us to recognize how the problems we face are separate from who we are as human beings. This shift in perspective supports us to recognize how our pasts have shaped us while enhancing our inner strengths to overcome the problems we face.
