I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate (PsyD) from Pepperdine University and over 11 years of experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression trauma, life transitions, and identity/spiritual development. I've worked in a range of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and residential treatment programs, and have supervised teams of therapists in high-acuity environments. I specialize in supporting teens, young adults, and professionals who are seeking deeper self-understanding, improved emotional regulation, and greater clarity in their lives. My style is warm, direct, and grounded, and I aim to create a space where you feel both supported and empowered.
Our first session is a chance to for us to get to know each other. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to work on, and any relevant history that might help us understand your experiences. It's also an opportunity for you to ask me questions to get a feel for how I work. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful. From there, we'll begin to shape a path forward together, one that feels aligned with your goals and paced to your needs.
Clients often share that they feel safe, seen, and deeply understood in our work together. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence and a deep respect for each person's individual journey. My greatest strengths lie in my ability to hold space for complexity, whether that's emotional depth, big life questions, or seemingly conflicting parts of yourself, and to gently guide you toward clarity and action. I value transparency and authenticity in the therapy room; I show up as a real person, and I encourage my clients to do the same. I believe humor can be a powerful part of the healing process, and I welcome it when it naturally arises. I'm not afraid to ask thoughtful questions or challenge patterns that no longer serve you, while always honoring your pace and values. My background in both clinical psychology and leadership roles allows me to support clients holistically, blending insight with strategy to create real, lasting change.
I specialize in working with older teens, young adults, and professionals who are navigating anxiety, stress, identity exploration, burnout, and life transitions. Many of the clients I serve are highly self-aware, yet still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to make the changes they know they need. I also work well with clients who are sensitive, deep thinkers, and emotionally intuitive, but may struggle with boundaries, people pleasing, or perfectionism. Whether you are in a period of transition or feeling disconnected from yourself, I provide a space that is both reflective and practical, helping you move from insight into action.
I take a relational and integrative approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), an mindfulness-based practices. I believe that lasting change happens when we understand the patterns that shape our thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and then build the tools to shift them. I view therapy as a collaborative process; I'll meet you where you are while gently challenging the beliefs or behaviors that no longer serve you. Many of my clients come in with a high degree of self-awareness but still struggle to break old patterns or feel unsure how to move forward. In our work together, we focus not only on insight but on translating that insight into meaningful, sustainable change.
