Hi! If you are looking for clarity, growth, and peace– you're in the right place. I am a licensed psychologist providing therapy via telehealth for adult California residents, and I specialize in working with anxiety, stress, and self-esteem issues. I also work well with depression, adjustment concerns/life transitions, relationship issues/adverse relationship history, shame/criticism, people-pleasing, and perfectionism. My clients often wish to improve their view of themselves, understand themselves better, enhance their self-esteem, improve relationships in their life, and better manage mental health struggles like anxiety and depression along with general life stressors. My approach to therapy is rooted in cultivating a supportive and compassionate space where you can feel free to be authentically you while exploring yourself, gaining insight and awareness, and making positive changes aligned with your values and hopes. Through our work together, we will thoughtfully explore concerns you are struggling with, identify any unhelpful patterns negatively impacting you, and integrate new skills to successfully manage challenges, all within the context of an affirming, nonjudgmental space customized to you and informed by evidence-based treatment. I provide therapy for adults (ages 18+). Additionally, I have specialized training in young-adult aged clients as well as college students, as I have trained and worked in multiple college counseling center settings and very much enjoy working with this population.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I look forward to learning all about you and your background history, what you have been struggling with, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. It is totally okay if you aren't exactly sure about what you want out of therapy- we will explore this together! My main priority is making sure you feel comfortable and supported- I know it can feel nerve-wracking or uncomfortable sharing vulnerable feelings and things about yourself. I invite you to go at your own pace and I will be with you every step of the way. And of course, I invite you to ask any questions you may have.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths includes creating a warm, calming, compassionate, and supportive environment in which clients can feel comfortable to be their completely authentic self- no judgment! I aim for therapy to be a sanctuary for each client- there are so few spaces where we can truly come as we are and be completely vulnerable and raw yet be met with full acceptance, compassion, and understanding. Additionally, I take care to be intentional about tailoring therapy based on the individual and their unique needs- treatment is not one-size-fits all! Each person has their own life experiences, values, strengths, and hopes/goals for therapy, and I take all this into consideration when planning treatment and providing therapy. I am focused on truly putting my best effort into helping clients reach their goals for therapy and achieve their desired outcomes.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

I believe that developing a compassionate and loving relationship with yourself sets the foundation for a new, empowering path forward. I specialize in providing Compassion-Focused, evidence-based care, in which my approach to therapy is rooted in cultivating a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment. I work with clients on identifying how criticism and judgment shows up in their life and the ways in which it relates to their presenting concerns (anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc.) and help them develop a more compassionate view of themselves to help treat their presenting concerns. There is a wealth of research indicating the positive benefits and impressive treatment outcomes of Compassion-Focused Therapy for a very wide variety of mental health concerns and diagnoses.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I specialize in providing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, in which the focus is on how our thoughts, emotions, and behavior are intertwined. I work with clients on helping them become aware of unhelpful thoughts, patterns, and mindsets and how this impacts/contributes to their presenting concerns (anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc.) Then, we work on thoughtfully and intentionally shifting thoughts, patterns, and mindsets to be more healthy and helpful in order to treat current presenting concerns and live a more joyful, pleasant life. There is a wealth of research indicating the positive benefits and impressive treatment outcomes of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for a very wide variety of mental health concerns and diagnoses.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I specialize in providing Mindfulness-Based Therapy, which involves using relaxation and awareness exercises to enrich nonjudgmental, present-moment living aligned with personal values, desires, and goals. There is a wealth of research indicating the positive benefits and impressive treatment outcomes of Mindfulness-Based Therapy for a very wide variety of mental health concerns and diagnoses.
