About me Hello my name is Kimberly S. Roberts, LMSW. I've worked as a social worker/Therapist in many capacities for 34 years. I was born and raised in Iowa where I lived for 50 years until I moved to Colorado in 2017. I graduated with my master's degree in social work from the University of Northern Iowa in 2010. It was then I began working as a LMSW in emergency departments which I continue to do. I received my LCSW certification in 2/2021 and began my journey as a therapist shortly thereafter. I have extensive experience working with trauma of all kinds and utilizing many different types of modalities. I love animals and living in the mountains where nature provides me with therapy. I was a foster child and aged out of the foster care system and am a strong advocate for children. I work with couples and work with children and families working on co-parenting.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been providing mental health services since 2013. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of New England and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wyoming. Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, and I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and their strength. I also work closely with parents to build more structure and consistency in their homes, while supporting their own mental health growth. I started out working in the homes and communities of my clients through an intensive program, working with the families of children who were at risk for out of home placement, such as residential treatment or psychiatric hospitalization. This program was a 6 month therapeutic intervention, helping parents to better understand their children's needs, as well as helping children develop regulatory skills to help them be more successful, in their homes and communities. I provide virtual outpatient therapy to Colorado residents, working with individuals aged 15 and up who are struggling with daily functioning and searching for their true, authentic selves. My approach blends evidence-based methods, tailored to support you through distress and toward healing. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment, and building a path forward together at a pace that feels right for you.
