First session
In the first session, clients can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to share what brings them to therapy. We’ll explore their concerns, strengths, goals, and needs while beginning to develop a personalized treatment plan. Clients will leave with greater clarity, practical tools, and a sense of direction for moving forward.
Strengths
I have over 14 years of experience working with substance use, recovery, and co-occurring mental health disorders. I have provided education on addiction, 12-Step recovery, relapse prevention, and mental health, including experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment. My community and school-based experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, anger, and addiction. I believe effective therapy requires empathy, active listening, observation, and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is an adolescent or adult who is ready to understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and make meaningful changes. I enjoy supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship concerns, emotional difficulties, or substance use and recovery. I value clients who are open to collaboration and seeking a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to heal, grow, and develop healthier coping skills.
