New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with several years of experience supporting teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of past experiences. I work especially well with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, even if they appear to be functioning well on the outside, and are looking for more clarity, confidence, and direction in their lives. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, shift patterns that no longer serve you, and create meaningful, lasting change—whether that means improving relationships, managing anxiety, or feeling more grounded and aligned in how you move through your day-to-day life.
Our first session is more of a real conversation than a formal intake. We’ll talk through what’s been going on recently, what’s felt hardest, and what made you decide to reach out now. I’ll ask questions to understand your background and patterns, but I’m also paying attention to how you think, process, and make sense of things in the moment. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of what we’re focusing on and whether this feels like a space where you can actually open up and do meaningful work.
I aim to create a space that feels comfortable, real, and easy to settle into, which often helps clients open up more naturally over time. I’m someone who pays close attention, asks thoughtful questions, and stays present with you, while also helping keep sessions moving in a way that feels purposeful without being overwhelming. I’ve found that this balance of being supportive while still gently challenging when needed can make a meaningful difference in the therapeutic relationship. It allows clients to feel understood and respected, while also feeling encouraged to look at things in new ways and move toward change. I also try to keep our work grounded and relevant to your day to day life, so what we talk about in session actually feels useful and applicable outside of it.
I’m especially well-suited to support teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating identity development, low confidence, emotional overwhelm, or feeling misunderstood. Whether you’re looking to build practical coping skills, improve relationships, or process deeper patterns and past experiences, I help clients move toward feeling more grounded, clear, and confident in how they show up in their lives. Many of my clients are used to holding it together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected underneath. They are often insightful and self-aware, while navigating anxiety, life transitions, family or relationship challenges, and the impact of past experiences that continue to show up in their day-to-day lives. In our work together, we create space to slow down, process more deeply, and build a stronger understanding of yourself.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I take a person-centered approach to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, so I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship where you can explore your experiences at your own pace and feel supported in being fully yourself.
EMDR
I use EMDR as a tool to help process distressing or unresolved experiences that may still be impacting how you feel, think, and respond today. This approach can support you in reprocessing past experiences so they feel less overwhelming and more integrated, while building a greater sense of clarity and emotional relief. EMDR is used thoughtfully within treatment and is not required in every session.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps us look at the patterns between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our work together, I use CBT to help you identify unhelpful thinking patterns, build more balanced perspectives, and develop practical strategies that support how you want to feel and show up in your life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
With a solution-focused approach, we spend time identifying what’s already working and building from there. I help you clarify your goals, recognize your strengths, and take small, realistic steps toward meaningful change, keeping our work grounded, forward-focused, and practical.
